What a great Park winter time needed no reservations beautiful nice clean safe has a host
Beautiful park with beach access feet away and hiking options. In winter it is quiet and not crowded. Gets full in summer especially in nice weather. Camp hosts were helpful when we needed to change sites and needed to adjust our stay due to having work done on our tow vehicle. Two negatives: We were not able to maneuver our 35' fifth wheel into the site we reserved in C loop which said it would accommodate up to 40'. This was due to numerous trees close to the road and relatively narrow spaces leaving little room to turn the tow vehicle. We were able to move to D loop where we got into a site much more easily, however in general the sites seem to be narrow with many of them having thick brush or trees close by potentially making parking more difficult. The other negative came a few days into out stay when the electrical box at out site began smoking. We found afterward that many of the plugs seem worn and loose. We were able to find a site with a good connection after looking around and moved again. So, this is a beautiful area but my recommendation especially if you have a larger rig is to come in winter when it's not full so you can pick your site! 30 amp service is the max available.
Enough space between each other to feel secluded and a short walk to the beach. Our favorite stop on our three week trip
