| Quiet, clean and cheap

We came midweek in late October, and had an almost empty campground. No water, sewer or electric. You can get water at the dump station...which is on Lighthouse Road on your way in, across from the British Sailor cemetery. We missed it and had to go back, since they would not allow us to fill our water tank at the spigot inside the campground. You can run generator, but not between 10 pm and 6 am. It's about 3/4 mile from the campground to the beach, but worth the walk! They have flush toilets and cold showers, neither of which we tried.

| Not worth the money.

Drive-thru the campground the middle of April and most of the sites were wet after rain storm did it come through the place is not very well kept up the grass was high and some areas there's no hookups they do have bathhouses the toilets and showers but we did not go in them we literally drove around the campground and drove out back down to the Frisco National Park Service Campground. The place could use a lot of upgrades like most National Park Service campgrounds the sites are very shallow if you have anything over about a 25 foot unit you may not fit and they want all wheels on payment. It's too bad it's a really nice location right by the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and really close to the beach but we'll scale of 1 to 10 I would give it barely a 1.

| Boondocking for sure

Only partial open, several areas being repaved. Location was great, consistent breeze. Only drawback was very wet off the roads and pads, but expected considering being at sea level . It s not a resort, it is boondocking just over the berm from the beach. Would return.
