Reviews for Carmel by the River RV Park

| Great little park

Stayed here with my wife and 8 year old son. We arrived after hours with no problem at all. Sites appear to all be back in, but we had no problem fitting in our spot. We spent our time mostly in Monterey exploring the aquarium which wasn't very far away. There are clean restrooms and showers. Also had a game room with a tv, air hockey, billiards, and a lounge. Wi-Fi was fine and even had cable hookups. A little expensive, but I would stay again.

| Expensive & Hair Raising Road In

Cute but tight park. $90 per night for 50 amp. Our 44 foot long 13 foot tall class A could hardly make it into the park on the last stretch of narrow low hanging tree lined one way road into the park. I'm a non drinker non swearing individual who was cussing up a storm and asking for the cooking sherry by the time we got there. Tight inside as well. Pretty but not enough to ever stay again - not for $90 plus what we may have to fix on our roof

| Nice location but expensive

The park is located inland sourounded by mountains. For the $80/nite we paid we expected lots more.... like a pool or kids activities (sport courts or outdoors movies etc) or some cheese and wine gathering. Sites are narrow and getting to and from the park it is somewhat difficult as the road passrs through a residential neighborhood. Generaly clean however the bbq on our site had some trash in it when we arrived. Front office management was very nice.

This place is amazing. Close to the best of Carmel and Carmel Valley. Great team that is so nice and welcoming. You can feel the pride and care they take in maintains the park. Our dog, Duke also loved it

| Kids allowed to take over

Site next to us had several kids and they were allowed to scream and yell for hours. Riding their bikes after dark with no lights. Playing baseball in the only small grassy communal sitting area. Parents played music loud and no consideration for other RVers. I think they thought they were at Disneyland. Pure misery.

| Nice RV Park

Stayed overnight while visiting Monterey. Full hook-ups and clean (cable too). Clean showers, friendly staff. I think all sites are back-ins, but plenty of room to move around. $73 per night, but not a lot of options in the area. Very quiet and peaceful. Carmel river is small and not much to see.

| Expensive

Clean restrooms. Not much to do. Good for one night. To expensive for a parc with no pool and no playground.

| Nice place

Really great staff, very clean, and very quiet. Large rigs might be a little uncomfortable just because it is in the valley nestled between the mountains and road is down to one lane for the last quarter mile or so.

This park is in the heart of beautiful Carmel Valley. The Park is wonderfully maintained and the owners are incredible. It is located along the Carmel River, which flows seasonally. The owners go out of the way to assist you and make you feel at home when you arrive. Club house has billiards, and other games. Very nice patio with gas BBQs. Store has good selection of necessities. There are multiple Restaurants and Golf courses within 2 to 3 miles. Carmel is only 5 miles away. Great big Rig access. Fantastic Experience

| Pretty but tight fit.

Very pretty, very small. Location is great for visit to Carmel or Monterey. Road leading in is one way and very narrow with low branches. Was not aware our price was changing from $73 a night to $90 a night (cash). Love the area but would not stay here again due to limited access and cost.

| nightmare at Carmel

By user-5864449... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2014-08-13 to 2014-08-14

Made a reservation by phone using my credit card and had it imediately confirmed. I was told to arrive before 8 pm to check-in. I arrived at 6:30 and the office was closed. My name was not among the reservations for that night! After a while the responsible for the camp appeared and was totally arrogant saying there was no reservation for me. I had to find another place to stay with my wife and a three-year-old kid. I'm waiting now to check if my credit card was charged. Totally unfair and absurd situation! I do not recomend it for anybody.
