| $70 for a 30' travel trailer?

this state park is grossly overpriced. yes it's on the beach.... but don't gouge because santa Barbara is so unfriendly toward rvs!

| Close to water

Nice state park that is separated into four sections. Great for tent camping and small RV's. Only a few spots for 35 foot rigs. My 33' fit into a 30' spot by backing up as far as possible. Tables and fire pits at each spot. Tidepools at south end by San Miguel loop. Verizon cell service very spotty. They are changing from Reserve America to their own system, which has to be better for getting a reservation. Would definitely stay here again.

| Dry RV spaces are much nicer

This park has two paved loops with full hookups and two loops without hookups. We've stayed twice in the "dry area" and like it much better. The full hookup area is like a crammed parking lot with lots of parties, especially on weekends. The campground is just across the railroad tracks for the quaint part of Carpinteria. Yes, that means you'll hear train horns day and night. The beach is beautiful but you'll also find some homeless folks meandering through the campground and using the showers. Overall, we really enjoy the place. There are many restaurants and two micro breweries within walking distance. Be sure to check out Reynaldo's Mexican Bakery. The showers and bathrooms in the dry camping area are wheelchair accessible but NOT in the two loops with full hookups.
