Love this KOA

It is next to the train and can be a bit loud, but other than that it's a great place to stop before head into the Portland area.
Big pine trees, relaxing atmosphere, nice people, too.

We arrived after the office closed. We had a tough time backing into a site due to cars parked odd in the adjacent sites. With some help of the neighbors we finally sorted it out. It's a pretty campground in the trees but the trains are loud but do settle down in the evening to sleep. The pools nice and they have bikes. We didn't do the pancake. They do have a super yummy food truck onsite. We had a fun time. It's so close to explore he Gorge and see all the waterfalls!

The park is pretty, but noisy due to tain tracks and a road running on both sides. This was not what bothered me though ( I found those sounds oddly comforting. I was bummed to find out they close for winter on Oct. 14th and I had to scramble out the next day. I withheld one star for that. The second star Im withholding because the bathrooms and showers were not good. One stall didnt have a shower head, just a pipe sticking out of the wall. The stalls are completely open from about 2 feet from my head and from the knee down! Not to mention almost none of the locks worked on the doors of both shower and potties. Oh, and there is no hand soap or paper towels. The locals in Cascade Locks were really cool though, and the front office staff was very friendly.

The park is nice except for the trains, the tracks are right behind the park they are very noise and blow their horns before and after the park this goes on all day and night and if your a light sleeper you'll be up most of the night.

Ok campground BUT....

For a KOA this location is run down and RIGHT on the train tracks. You could reach out and almost touch the train. Loud and all night long. Staff was nice and very accommodating though.

Woodsy, trains at night

Very nice people as hosts and in office. Camping spots are dark due to overhead trees. Trains run at night and blow horn. Thankfully the gorge is wonderful, because you have to put up with less than desirable RV parks. This is a decent place. Laundry is expensive $2.00 a load, same to dry, at 75 cents for 7 minutes in tepid dryers.

Overpriced overbooked

Overpriced and packed in , our premium site had an old 30a outlet that kept dropping out and an undersized concrete pad . The trees are great for shade but the trains are unbelievably loud and close.
Unless you need something for the kids give this place a pass

We generally avoid KOAs but this one we picked because of its location. Multnomah Falls and other falls were close by and this was on my bucket list to see. We have a 40 mh w/toad . We picked a 30 amp backin to keep price down and was pleased to get a military discount but it was still over $40. This might not seem high to some that are used to paying more but this is high for us and is why we don t generally stay at KOAs. We of course had to unhook our car and was able to park it in front of mh once set up. The staff was friendly and there was much shade under large trees. Wifi worked fine. Trains went by through the night (office will give you ear plugs) which I used. Turning radius was tight but doable. Kids play in street although there is a playground.This an older campground but well kept upThere are pull through but are higher priced. The falls were worth the visit and we even drove to where we viewed Mt. Hood

We had a great stay at this KOA. Large rocks lining the road made it difficult to back the trailer into it spot. I had to come in from a different direction to make it work out. Dog park area was small and dusty. Dogs were dirty after a short time running around. Laundry area was clean but $2.50 a load. Dryer was .25 per 5 minutes. If you love trains this is your spot. They run both day and night. Office staff were awesome and nice. We would stay here again. If you don t like the sound of trains you need to go elsewhere.

Loud, dark, in need of renovation, overpriced

The campsite is located in a wooded area directly on a busy railway line. The tracks go right past the campsite. the freight trains run all night and honk before and after the pass. The hot tub is just a hot tub without bubbles. All seats are under trees and have shade throughout the day. it is very dark.
