Reviews for Castaic Lake RV Park

| Good place for LA day trips

By user-5857913... on 2017-10-23.

A good rv park, we used it for staying overnights while visiting the LA sights. Park is nice, has some long term users but the owners are trying to keep the park nice for short term visitors. Some spots have freshly laid grass. Pool and hot tub were clean and the bathrooms also clean. The one dkwn point we had is the town has no local grocerystores, so you need to take I5 to the next town, about 5 minutes away. The park does have a small store, for essentials. We wou, d stay here again if in the area.

| Nice spot to camp

We enjoyed our stay here over New Year Eve. We got full hookups with 50 amp service. Used our own Dish Satelite service. Got one hour of free Wifi or can pay for more by the day. The employees were very kind and helpful. We ate nearby at a nice Mexican Bar and Grill off of Old Highway Road a couple evenings and a diner for breakfast on Castiac Rd.

| Nice location, employee attitude...

By user-5890446... on 2017-10-23.

The fresh air compensated for the hostile attitude of the reception. Upon arrival at the RV park, I was unwelcomely met with the negative overtones that Laura openly presented. Without regard for my conditions or circumstances, she immediately went into a rant that their facility was definitely NOT where I would be camping that weekend, whether I had reservations or not. She was reluctant to even for a search on the computer. I found the confirmation email and that also...was not enough evidence of my reservations. Let's take into account that I had driven from the LAX area and was pretty fatigued from doing so. The stress of the disappointing news at 9pm brought about a partial panic attack and I felt as if I was about to pass out. Nonetheless, she went to the back to check on something and Michelle searched the log book and computer thoroughly and found my reservation entry under a different date. I was allowed to stay the weekend thanks to her efforts. I think and attitude adjustment is mandatory for Laura and if she was working for me...she would be looking for a new job that following Monday.

| Gypsies

In our opinion, doesn't live up to the Web presence it portrays. Nice, well kept up pool and office area, but the park is full of full time gypsies. Looks raggedy and uninviting. Location is great, but the atmosphere is too edgy for us.

| Terrible

Nasty and dirty. Staff incredibly rude and scary. No trees, just pavement and a filthy piece of old astroturf thrown on the ground. Bugs and filth in the showers

| Could be much better

I was thrilled to get a same day (Saturday) reservation as we were passing through and needed a place to stay for one night. The staff were very friendly and helpful and restrooms were modern and very clean. The sites were sub par but functional with a dirty piece of astro turf in place of grass. My main complaints are a rather large number of the long term residents refusing to follow posted rules about clutter and storage around their site and under their RV making the place look really trashy. Teenagers or young adults that I assume live here or were visiting someone living here were cruising around in the early evening with their windows down and music blaring. If the posted rules were strictly enforced this wouldn't be too bad of a park, as it is we didn't feel completely comfortable outside alone after dark. I'm not sure I'd stay here again.

| It’s actually cool place

Well hey , so give it it 4 stars and 5 stars at the same time . Lest figure out why - 4 * are - yes they have too many full timers that live there and some of lots are terribly neglected and busy with their stuff . But most of them located on back of property and if you really do not want go and see it , just don’t . I will give 5*+ for staff is very friendly and helpful, pool is immaculate and jacuzzi working wonders after you travel long distance or you just want to chill . Bathrooms and showers are most cleanest and well taken care off we ever saw in long time . Hot water is soooo good . Laundry room also very clean and in great shape and make you want to wash your clothes there. Also office area have a shop in it for small items and it nice to able to buy a cold beer with out driving any where . We were able to fill our propane there as well , just a walk to station. So over all we stayed here a week just because we wanted to see LA but did not wanted to drive in and out with traffic. We will stay again if it will be on our rout .

| Beautiful setting.

After a long day of driving this was a great stop. Quiet. Not crowded. Best of all $20 with a dumpsite & water fill up.
