| WHAT ??

What is going on with this place ?? We are members and current on all payments. We just recieved a bill for over $1700 in park maintenance fees. After lots of calls, messages and no answers, we finally get an answer to what the bill is for. Come to find out it was sent by accident. WHAT ?? And now a buddy recieved a notice to stay off the premisses until his bill is paid in full. HE IS UP TO DATE ON ALL FEES. Now we are hostage because to change parks we have to pay new fees to join the new park. I am dumping this place when I figure out how !!

| I love it here

New to RVing and new to here. People staff and guests are so incredibly helpful, patient and kind. The transition seems rough for some of the longstanding members and guests but I see how hard and dedicated the team is and I believe only good can happen here.

This has been our home park since 1987. We no longer live in California, but it's close enough to visit every 1 or 2 years. We have seen management change from mediocre to downright awful about 8 times. Most of them were liars, cheats, and scoundrels as evidenced by other reviews here. The good news is I have hope for the new managers. They did not lie, they laid out an honest appraisal of what they need to do, they mentioned some options they were considering. All sound fair and reasonable. They know people have been mad at them. The lower clubhouse pool and rec center is undergoing major reconstruction, and it was so needed. Prices are not outrageous for the area, and as members it's only $15 per day. Give them time to finish the lower clubhouse construction and give it another try.

| Really really Nice!

| Excellent!

What a find! World class RV resort at a very affordable rate. I wish I had known about this resort before I made monthly arrangements elsewhere. Any one making negative reviews of this resort can only be a competitor trying to influence people. They escort you to your space and assure you are able to set up and they even pick up rubbish bags at your space mornings and evenings 7 days a week, that's going above and beyond! The staff couldn't be nicer, pools and gated grounds are very nicely kept.

| Excellent park

Owner has kept all promises. In the process of beautiful renovations and upgrades. If you had a bad experience in the past, give it another try!

| Just delightful

We arrived just after sunset & were greeted by managers who helped us get to our spot. We were treated to a golf cart. Christmas parade with candy handouts & the cleanest facility we have been in in a long time. Great place to stay. Beautiful property. Gracious staff.

| Love the new owners!

Beautiful remodeled lower club house and pool. Seems to be keeping their promises!

| Nice spa

By user-5091334... on 2018-03-14.

Nice rv resort. Lots of activities. Nice spa areas. However, 5.99 dollar for 1 day wifi is quite oldschool...i would call that a rip off. Thats my only complaint.

| Worth the stop

Spent five days at the spa. Staff friendly but more importantly, facilities are being renewed. New clubhouse with great bathrooms (including Kohler fixtures). All first class. Another upgrade will include the second clubhouse located further back in the park. Quiet and nice. Activities if you're interested but not necessary. Park is definitely coming back and at $22.50 a night, it's well worth it.

| World class

By user-5893777... on 2019-08-09.

Spa area includes gorgeous pool, gym, bathrooms with high end finishes. Staff keeps the place spotless, and all are friendly, helpful. Sites are close together, but high oleander hedges offer privacy. A few tweaks and this park should fill up, despite its isolated location. Stayed August, 2018.

| Not quite the resort we expected.

By user-4899150... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2018-09-01 to 2018-09-02

If you are staying short term, be ready to be placed at the back of the property away from all the amenities listed. There was a pool area with showers and a laundry room (that was not air conditioned) at the back of the property. It was only for one night....but we d planned on doing laundry....that didn t happen as it was 99 degrees outside and worse in the laundry room!

| VERY NICE

By user-5038244... on 2019-08-09.

VERY VERY NICE, if your in the area or looking for a winter hide out this is it. Can't say enough about the staff. Helpful, kind.

| Very very good address to stay!

We are here for just 1 day but we are very happy with the warm welcome, nice swimmingpool and clean showers/toilets. Keep up the good work!

| Excellent price, beautiful facilities

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2018-10-07 to 2018-10-08

Beautiful new pool and natural hot spring spa, stunning brand new changing/shower/bathroom facilities, welcoming service even without a booking, and great laundry facilities. Even the planting around the RV spots seems fresh and recent, and it creates a lush, private feel once you're parked up. Worth far more than the $22.50 per night we paid with Passport America. We would have stayed much longer if we could have.

| Poor Communication/ Management

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.

Me and my two friends called yesterday to reserve a space at Catalina s for our RV. We spoke with a lady who took my name and phone number. Due to poor connection service over the phone, she said that we could finish the full registration upon arrival and that she would send me a reservation confirmation per email. I told her that we would be arriving very late and she said that it is fine because she has my name registered and that there will be an ambassador at the gate to let us in. I never received an email. We arrived at 10.36pm and the ambassador who guarded the Catalina denied us access to the park as the rule of the park is to not let any vehicles in past 10pm. He checked his list of reservations for that night and my name was not on there. He did offer us to stay at the gate and to use the facilities but without an electrical hookup we would not have been able to use our heater overnight. We had to leave and look for a different resort at 11pm on a weekday.. I am disappointed from the lack of communication and management of this resort team. It was not mentioned to me that accessing the property after 10pm is not allowed. Reservations needs to be more clear about their check-in times and mention any restrictions that might affect their customers! Quite unfortunate, as we were really looking forward to enjoy this resort.

| Nice Fun Clean Place

By user-6155672... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2018-11-20 to 2018-12-16

I love this place. It has two separate pools and mineral spas. They have been doing upgrades and remodeling. The front spa, pool and bathroom/showers have been remodeled and In great condition. The back pool and spa area bathrooms where being remolded on this last visit. There even in the process of redoing the dog park by adding a water pond for your pets. And I heard there going to offer doggie day care eventually. The PARK and RV spots are all keep up clean and pretty much level, and each one is raked and ready for your arrival. They have a nice gym and offer excersize classes both in gym and pool. They have all kinds of game/card get togethers and offer mini golf, pickle ball, bocces ball, & horseshoe tournaments. This is a fun place to stay and enjoy. I ve been there twice and will continue to go back. Next year I plan on staying longer.

| STAY AWAY

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2018-10-07 to 2018-10-17

You can get a free night s stay just for writing a 5-star review on Google or Trip advisor. Guests are compensated for doing that, where do you think all the 5-star reviews came from? If not a free night a greatly reduced rate. You can get a greatly reduced rate while your neighbor pays full price, another reason to write a 5-star review. And don t forget to ask for your FREE night for writing a 5-star review. Make sure that you ask for C, she is the only that can make these amazing deals. C has been given liberties by the boss (those are her own words) to make great deals. If the other Guest Services Representatives make any sort of deals with the guests, they are reprimanded. Some sites get cable some sites don t. You will be told that you must reset your TV, but that is just another excuse to get you to think that you MIGHT get cable. If you have a high def antennae you might get the local over the air channels. It doesn t matter whether you pay for cable or not, that is just the way it is so if you are able to get cable at your site, great. If you don t get cable, oh well. The resort owns the cable system and outside cable companies won t even touch it. Wi-Fi is another horrible story. You will hear lies that the system is being upgraded or has been upgraded and that Wi-Fi is working throughout the park or at the club houses. Some people will be lucky enough to get Wi-Fi, others won t. If you have a hot spot or jet pack that is the only way you are going to get a decent cable connection. If you work from your RV, DO NOT pay for the Wi-Fi, the outages are frequent (almost daily) and the speed is horrible. You got a confirmation e mail with a confirmed site, wrong again. Your site can be moved at any time before you arrive and even as you are sitting at the desk checking in, even though you can produce documentation that you were given a confirmed site. Septic connections may or may not fit into the in-ground connection so be prepared to find a way to keep your septic hose in place. If you are handicapped and request a handicapped sight, you may or may not (most likely not) be able to get a handicapped sight. There was even one guest that was handicapped (even had the placard to prove it) that was denied a handicapped site. Why because the RV her and her husband had was older and it would have been near the main road. The General Manager only wants new, shiny and expensive-looking RV s near the road to give a resort like appearance. If you have an older RV, no matter what your confirmation e mail states, you are going in a back row, away from everything so that no one can see your RV because that is the General Manager s policy. No old RV s anywhere they can be seen from the road. If the electric breaker trips in your RV and you trip the breaker at the power pedestal as well, be prepared for the whole row of RV s that you are in to be without power until the problem is repaired. There will be no notice the power will just go out until it is repaired. Bring a lot of leveling blocks because most of the sites, despite being sand, are extremely unlevel. The work environment for work campers and employees at Catalina Spa and RV Resort has become so volatile and hostile that work campers are terminating their contract early and leaving their positions. 6 have left their positions so far and more to come in the very near future. The current management and the owner are aware of this issue, choose to ignore or take actions to resolve the cause of this problem. Catalina Spa and RV Resort presents a very appealing outward presentation to guests; however, the guests are woefully blinded to the truth about what really goes on here. Catalina Spa is nothing but a 30 + year-old campground.

| Good place, good facilities

By user-6017907... on 2019-08-09.

Good place to stay, awesome facilities, but the people is not so warm . When I leaved the place one people talk to me as I'm not paid the night, was really embarrassing. They need more training to interact with the guests.

Very nice place. Heated pools, clean showers and bathrooms. Came for 2 days decided to stay a week. Lots of activities. Will definitely be returning. One of the nicest places we have stayed, great value.

| Nice and relaxing!

By user-5814619... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2019-03-07 to 2019-03-10

Large RV Resort, easy in and out, professional and courteous staff, friendly neighbors, 2 heated pools & 3 hot tubs (upper and lower levels) from the natural healing mineral springs, nice gym with state of the art equipment, 2 dining halls with yummy discounted food, a convenience store, and super cheap laundry for $1.25 (wash and dry)! Cons: $23.50/nt resort fee, even for members, $5/nt extra for Wifi per device (we declined opting for our hotspot), $2.50/nt extra for cable (we declined and had a number of good antennae TV channels). We loved the dog park, which has 2 separate areas, lots of obstacles, and space to run/fetch/play! FHUs (50amp), good water pressure, and sewer.
