Great campground

The bathrooms/showers were the most spacious and clean I have every seen for a state park. It was beautiful scenery, and very quiet. It even had trees for a little shade. Recommend the outer back-in sites for more privacy and call ahead to reserve.

This is a nice park,only thing I didn't like were the grass stickers that get into every thing...this stuff is everywhere in Tucson area it seems..oh,stay in"B" loop,the hosts in A are real butt heads, they been there for 22 years...!

Only stayed one night

But it is a very pretty place. We're in the dry camping area, great showers for $15. There are many biking trails surrounding this park which sits at the foot if some incredible mountains. Store are directly across the street bit the seclusion of the park makes you think you are in the wilderness. Biosphere 2 is just 20 miles away.

This park has it all! Scenery, amenities, nearby shopping and dining. Various levels of hiking trails nearby. B Loop is preferable.
Make reservations 3-6 months in advance.

This is a well maintained and beautiful park to stay in. Close to all the conveniences but secluded and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of town. Free WiFi is pretty consistent in B loop. Ranger tours are enjoyable and fun to do.

Great for the weekend

Beautiful state park that feels secluded, but you're really just down the road from civilization. Campsites were nicely spread out, with water and electric hook ups. No sewer, but there are a few dump stations around the park. The views of the Catalina mountains are spectacular. We stayed over the weekend and the campground was at full capacity each night, but it didn't feel crowded. Would definitely recommend!

Facilities are clean. Lots are paved. Plenty of room in between lots, and hiking trails for hikers and cyclists. Reserve ahead of time, specially for weekend stays. Beautiful wilderness.

This is a wonderful state park. Large pull through and back in spaces. Water, electricity, no sewage but there is a very convenient dump available in the park. Beautiful views. Great hiking. Even though the park was full, there is a lot of space between RVs and it didn t feel crowded at all. Very quiet, beautiful stars at night. Easy drive into Tucson. We only wish we could ve stayed longer. We will definitely be back here for a longer stay. Be sure and make reservations as I get the impression we the park stays really full. We were camping in a 34 motorhome with a tow.

Beautiful Mountains

Nice state park CG, right outside of park is Wal-Mart and all necessities if needed. Beautiful hiking trails within park with large Saguaros to enjoy. Close to downtown Tucson, AU and Saguaro National Park and the popular Arizona-sonora Desert Museum. Only bummer is No Campfires allowed. Was hot enough in April that we purchased a small A/C for our pop up camper, we would return again.

We stayed in the B Loop. Site was great! Quiet park. The staff & hosts were very friendly. Free wifi that worked great! The sites are asphalt and are not level but that's to be expected on a mountain. Beautiful mountains and great hiking trail. The bathrooms were well maintained. We received several channels with the antenna. Beautiful mountains and great hiking trails. Shopping across the street from park entrance - such as Walmart. We will definitely be staying there again!

Don t forget to visit Mt Lemon stop at fascinating windy peak and stop for a giant cookie. We are newbies ...Great state park. Staff very accommodating. Arrived from IRB, Florida (Clearwater), and made reservations May 3 to May 7. Picked up new Thor class C. our outfitting was through Amazon.
