We have stayed here before and will again. It’s in the country so the roads are narrow getting here. We do okay in a 45 foot MH, we just take it slow. The property itself is stunning nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains. The Blue Ridge parkway is also close by. It’s quiet and peaceful, well, except when they are mowing which is pretty often! Lots of grass to tend to. Be prepared for bugs too – they bite and bite hard. We stayed in site 3 just behind the office. There are 5 sites in this section. They are really long but awkward to get in and out of. There is some “four wheeling” involved but apparently that is ok. Really, you just have to cross over some grassy areas. In these sites, it is very possible that you’ll need extra hose to reach the sewer connection. They seem to have more and more long term campers although the sites are fairly neat. The WII FI is weak so we used our hotspots. Verizon coverage is 4g 2/3 bars and Directv works great. They have a new young camp host who is very personable and helpful. The rates are reasonable; however, the lodging tax (10.5%) and reservation fee ($18) are crazy high. Also, you can’t make a reservation online even though it appears that you can.
Amazon place to stay with incredible views. This is one of the only places open in the winter!!!! I think there are roughly 20 spots available during the winter as the facility fully winterizes them. To my surprise, there was a heated water hose provided which was unexpected and really nice. The people here are fantastic and willing to help with whatever they can. Not much shade though. It looks like some trees were planted recently, but I'd like there to be more to provide for additional privacy.
Lots of open space and nice views. Avoid sites 15 and 16 if you expect wet weather - they do not drain well.
