The web site doesn't filter correctly. You are probably not going to have a paved lot like the site advertises. The one the originally gave us was too small it was like 14 feet wide. Needed to be mowed in a lot areas Park itself is awesome just really disappointed in the camp grounds

| Nice views

We came in with another couple in our truck campers. Nice views. Park attendants were accomidating and friendly. They allowed us to go in and cherry pick the campsites we wanted. A winter storm had downed many trees in the upper campground. Seems the park is dragging their feet in that there was plenty left to be done to clean the debris. The trash left over from previous campers was noticeable; we picked up plenty of bottle caps, broken glass, plastic, etc... from our campsites. All in all it was a decent place to visit for the first time. We will probably come back again for a longer stay.

We arrived in early November and the tree colors were peaking. The RV area is nice but not without issues. Our spot was not very level but otherwise OK. We couldn't reserve a single night's stay online but there were walk-ins available. The restaurant had incredible views. The showers were nice.

We were displaced by hurricane Michael and they took us in earlier than our reservation. Also let us pay per day without threat of needing to change sites. Very accommodating and friendly. Nice restaurant at lodge too. Hiking in area, very rugged and steep however other accessable hikes also.too cold while we were there but a beautiful lake to swim and fish. Cons, long, steep, winding road pulling trailer. Far away from activities and cities. Very remote. Unlevel sites in camp #2. #1 seemed more level. Want a beautiful getaway with full hookup visit here!

| Upper Campground redone!

Just stayed here for 4 nights in the upper campground and it was VERY nice. They are in the process of upgrading the entire campground and they have done a great job. Nice large site with full hook up and plenty of easy hiking trails within walking distance. I did not visit the Lower campground so I'm not sure of the condition. There is limited cell service, we have ATT and it didn't work, but they are in the process of installing wifi. Only down side would be 3 sites that I would never call a site, so if you can avoid Upper Site S40, S42 and S43 you should be good. They have plenty of pull-through sites that work best for a big rig, back in sites might be a challenge, but you will get in.

Everything was new... parking area, picnic table, fire ring, electric box. Excellent condition and quiet location near the mountaintop. Great spot for watching deer graze among the trees. Very peaceful.
