The only reaason I didnt give this state park 5 stars is because we werent parked beside the water. It was Awesome....Big, spacious sites, a nice combination of sun and shade. It was a lot quiter than most state parks we've been to, though there were a lot of families and children. The 30amp service in our site was really good. There were a lot of things to do, like hiking, fishing, & kayaking. The sites were large and very level and the driveway was gravel with a nice bit of lawn/grass around. They sold wood at teh office, which I thought was quite pricey at $5.00 for a milk crate sized bundle. If you run out you have to go back to the office for more...tough to do with a class A and your not towing anything. But, that was just a minor inconvienience. Like I said earlier only thing our site, or the park for that matter lacks is waterfront sites.....We loved it!!!

Another beautiful state park. Plenty of trees for all day shade. Trails along the Chenango river. Asphalt roads, rocky mostly-level sites, but power posts on the wrong side?! Water stations thru out. Some sites were muddy from so much rain. Sporadic cell service. Bathhouses are convenient, clean enough, dish washing sinks outside. However, push button showers that last maybe 15 seconds spraying lukewarm water everywhere except on the showeree, and separate hot and cold sink faucets that need holding open Just had to laugh at some of this and, thus, only 4 stars.

Nice family oriented park but a bit crowded and office staff not well organized. Check in seemed to take forever. Restrooms clean. Park is not far from Binghamton.
