The owner is old and does not enforce people picking up around their sites and definitely does not enforce people picking up after their dogs..it's an ok place could definitely be better if owner would work on it..grounds keeper does not do his job..it is the cheapest campground in this area..and it shows!! If your a worker and want a basic/cheap campground..this is your place to go!!
We stayed 2 nights here on our way to nauvoo and found it to be a good value for the money. We paid $31 per night for a pull thru and full hook ups. The park is very quiet and easy to access even with our 32' coach and toad. The park does have a bit of longer term residents and still some fixing up to do since it was recently purchased 6 month's ago. But that being said the new owners are constantly working on something to improve the place new plumbing and power to sites and more gravel on road's. This place is only going to get better with time.
New owner rate $30 for 50 or 30 amp. Stayed 4 days they were friendly and courteous. No complaints here will go back if in the area. Give em a chance. 40' Class A J Taylor Greenridge ,Mo
New owner coming January 2017 has been around Marina's and Campground's most of his life. He told me improvements he has done so far and those planned. New laundry room done. Bathrooms next project. Our overnight stay was well worth it. I recommend you notice most reviews are old and give consideration to this campground in your plans. I stopped here despite the old reviews and am glad I did! After talking with the owner that will take over January 2017, I believe my next stay late next year will be 5 stars. I have camped 35 years and full time travel through 30 states in the past 18 months.
This is an older park, but new owner is super nice and obviously working hard to renovate. My kids were bummed the pool was closed, which is on the list to fix too. The laundry room looked great and was clean. There are many long term campers here, a few of which we met and they were friendly. We visited with a 31' class C RV with 30 amp. Had a nice shady spot with full hookups. Site was gravel and level too.
New owner is making quite a few changes for the better. Very friendly people they were building picnic tables and we were there to give us 15 more picnic tables because the old ones were falling apart. Working on a new building for Camp store. Lady in the office said that they're trying to make this a better Campground than it was and it's working. Highway noise was a little bad so if you trying to get in the back of the park it should be a little quieter. Overall a pleasant experience.
We stayed in a 40 ft class a.Very nice new owner working hard to improve the park. Some things he can't change like widths of spots. Very will to help in anyway. We'll stay again.
