| Serene and beautiful

By user-5816601... on 2017-10-23.

Dogwoods blooming, butterflies flitting, a beautiful lake and pine sent in the air. Lots of people fishing but very few campers. Large camp sites, well spaced. Planned a one night and stayed 3. Roads are narrow but we had no trouble with the 28 foot C class RV. Many walking trails, some wheel chair accessible.

| Basic campground

Basic road in, basic signage, basic sites and basic bathrooms. The sites are tucked in under pines and dogwood, away from the lake, where the day use areas are. It was breezy during our stay, so twigs and needles dropped on the roof. There are tables, grills, firer rngs as well as 30 amp and water. No sewer, but there is a dump station. The toilets are out front (separaate men/women) and individual shower rooms out back of the hooks for hanging clothing :-( ! No laundry here. There are only 10 hookup sites, but many more tent sites. The rv sites are tight, but well spaced apart. 40ish ft max; no pull thrus. A basic campground. There are many better parks, both state anf federal, around the Tupelo district.

| Dirtiest COE we’ve been in

This park only has a weekend camp host. He comes for weekend and is more interested in swimming and barbecuing then cleaning up park. Animals got in garbage. It was all over. He picked it up, put it back in can. That night animals got it again. He just left it all over ground. Our site had garbage and dirty socks all over. It’s such a shame because the park itself is beautiful. If you overlook the garbage in the lake, the lake is so nice.
