Reviews for Cheyenne KOA

| Good overnight

Stayed in a tent spot on a Tuesday night, very quiet considering how close to the highway it is. Nothing spectacle and pricey as KOAs are, but safe and reliable

Not a bad stop... it's a KOA, so it's expensive. However, the spaces are pretty roomy and the facilities/amenities are good and clean. The spaces are all gravel, with a few trees mixed in. We had problems with the electrical hookups... first, they didn't work at all; then moved to another site and the 50 amp voltage was way high and tripped our surge protector. Hopefully, this is not the norm. The WiFi was slow and the water pressure was low (~30 psi).

Very friendly. Nice even sites. All small gravel. Laundry and bathrooms clean and neat. This is right off of I80 and easy to get to. Definitely would stay again when in the area.

| A good stop for the night

As with MOST KOAs it's a bit pricey, close to the Interstate & there's also a Fed-Ex service shop next door so expect some noise, but we sleep with a fan on. The entire campground is gravel incl the tiny dog area, but there's lots of grassy areas surrounding the campground to walk your dog. The bathrooms were clean & the shower delightfull. Staff were friendly. Not a destination, but fine for overnight.

| Very poor attitude

Just called to see if they had a site for me which they did. Will only give discount for KOA. Felt they are over priced and asked if he would be willing to negotiate a better price for three nights. Said no, and hung up on me. I called back and told him I was just asking and he told me "You can't afford it" and hung up again. Not worth one star.

All gravel; no grass or trees. Nice wide sites. Near I-70; you can hear the trucks go by. In an industrial area east of Cheyenne. Gets the job done.

| Ok park

Being KOA it was pretty expensive. Especially considering it is so close to the Freeway, very noisy all night. Staff were pleasant and park was clean.

Great stop for just a night. Little pricey but typical of a KOA and we feel it's worth it.

| Nice KOA

My family stayed for two nights. Very nice and helpful staff - they let us park my daughter's bike on the store porch during a rain storm to keep it dry. Mostly level sites. Nice bathrooms and laundry. Free mini-golf. If you are in the area, definitely go to Terry Bison Ranch. It was awesome.

| Quiet easy to find

Big gravel parking lot, close to I-80. That means easy to find, but truck traffic noise all night. Bring quarters for laundry; that way you don't have to stalk a neighbor to trade dimes and nickels!

| Nice campground & staff.

Previous review states it's a big gravel parking lot. It's gravel, so what. I've stayed at other KOA's that were grass and trees and were horrible. The staff here is extremely helpful and friendly. I wanted to stay hooked up since I was only here for a night. 1st site assigned I wouldn't fit so one of the staff members worked with me to find a spot that would accommodate me. Sites had plenty of room between them. Sites were level and campground clean. Pool looked nice. I would definitely stay again, and stay longer next time.

| Tight For Some Big Rigs

Called 4 months in advance to see if they could handle a 43 Class A pulling a 24 trailer. Told them we were 73 long. They assured us they had some sites 80 long so we booked 4 nights. Upon arrival long sites taken so got stuck in a 70 site. At first clerk tried to say we didn t let them know length of our toad, but DW could see reservations screen and they had us down right. Instead of lying they should have just said opps, we made a mistake . We stuck it out in the short site but was worried someone would hit us the whole time. We will be looking for a better CG for future stays in this area.
