We stayed at this part for about seven nights. We found her staff to be very friendly and helpful and lots of knowledge on where to eat and what sites to go see. They even drove us around so we could select our site. Everything worked well good Wi-Fi great cable TV reception. And the pool was relaxing as well, there were two adult pools and one child. we did not shower in their facilities but my observation was they were very clean. There was also a charge for using the bathroom, I mean shower facilities. I wish Bob had, dated our 40 foot class a RV along with two easily. I would have given it five stars if the spaces were not so closely together. And I will picnic table was practically on top of the sewer of our neighbor. When I do return to this part of the country I will be looking for facility with larger spaces.

| Lot of good here

Great owner even thou there daughter in training could use some customer service skill, she young and hopefully trainable. Lots of good reviews because it is a very nice park and very accommodating owners even loaned us a longer hose for water. Pools nice and close too all the thing todo around the area. They had ton of info on local thing to do and major attraction. Stay 4 night 27 ft fifth wheel lots of room and even helped get back in

We are staying in this park right now and for the next few weeks. It is a great park. Large spots. Very clean facilities and well maintained. Couple of pools and lots of outbuildings. The people who own and run this park go above and beyond to be helpful and solve problems. Roads are partly paved sites are grass and gravel. We were here in a terrible storm and water did not stand and there was no mud.... Lots of green grass and shade. Very happy....

| Sweet Spot

Nice spot away from the highway and noise. Clean with friendly staff. Kids petting zoo, kids pool, and playscape were a nice bonus for the kids. Will say there again if in the area.

Awesome campground, would stay there again in a heartbeat. If pet owner, this is the place to stay.

| Great campground

By user-5861878... on 2017-10-23.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Sites are a little tight for a big rig. Didn't use the showers, but don't mind the 25 cents for the showers. How else are you going to control the crowds on the busy summer weekends.

| Could use many upgrades

By user-5049893... on 2017-10-23.

Pay showers for your $40+ per night fee? Seriously? The bathrooms are tiny and antiquated as is the questionable circa 1950 playground equipment. Site given was squeezed in on top of said playground. Tight spaces, jammed in. Won't be back.

Great campground. Lanna is wonderful and quite informative. Got to pick our site. Very clean and well maintained. Sites are plenty big . We stayed in a 37 foot motorhome. By all means, do Spearfish Canyon. Gorgeous. Devils Tower is also easily reached from here.

| Good place to stay

By user-6111939... on 2017-10-23.

Spent just shy of a week here. The owners are wonderful and very accommodating. Lots of room to walk the dogs. The only reason I didn't give a five is, in the high season the sites would be tight. Since we were there after Labor day they spread everyone out. Everything was clean and the sites level. Would definitely stay here again.

| Quiet Park

Stayed here in a 42' 5th wheel for 4 nights. The park has both open and shady sites. I was given a back in spot that had plenty of room to get in/out of. The wi-fi worked great, I used my dish, so not sure how the cable TV was. The park has two pools and one for young children to use. There is a playground for kids. Laundry can be done in several areas of the park and reasonable. A small store in the office sells camping needs and has many DVD movies you can take to watch for free. Their is no traffic noise or rail road noise, so a great place to rest. It is close to the town of Spearfish and has a beautiful Public Golf Course just before you get into town. Lanna the host is very friendly and I would definitely come back here again.

| Excellent Place!

We intended to only stay 1 night but the place was so nice and the owners so gracious and helpful (thanks Lanna and Bryce!), we stayed 3 nights. Everything is spotless. This is a super park. Also, HIGHLY recommend you take Lanna's advice and take Above & Beyond Tour's day tour of the Black Hills. Owner Wes was our guide and he was superb. You'll see in 1 day what would take you 2-3 days in your RV and avoid paying for gas for the 270-mile journey. All entry fees are included plus an excellent buffet lunch at the State Game Lodge in Custer State Park.

Thus family owned campground goes all out for campers during the Sturgis Motorcycle rally! Serving breakfast and dinners with a little happy hour set up in the afternoon. Pools and restrooms are clean, grounds are well kept with level, full hookup, cable, and wifi. Quiet, relaxed atmosphere, yet convenient to all the great sites to visit!

We stayed at this lovely family owned campground over labor day weekend and had a very nice stay. The shade trees are everywhere and the bathrooms and pools are very clean. We had good WiFi and cell phone reception. We will stay here again and hopefully more often

This is a great Camp Ground, owers are a hoot and very friendly, guide you to your site and make sure you are OK with it. Pools are clean and well kept, a number of good pull-thru's for larger vehicles. No noise from HWY at either site we were at along with a number of shade trees. There are a number of stores and places to eat near by along with things to see. We would camp there again in a heart beat and look forward to out next stay.

Nice place. Very clean. Friendly. Drove us around to select the spot we wanted. Lana was nice and very accommodating. Very family friendly. I'll gladly pay $0.25 just to keep the line down in the shower. Definitely would stay here again.

| Excellent

By user-5835259... on 2017-10-23.

We extended our stay from 4 days to almost 3 weeks. Park is well maintained. Staff are helpful. Picked out our location. Close to many things to see. Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, Needles Highway,Sturgis, Chief Crazy Horse and so much more. Laundry, bathrooms and showers clean. Can't say enough.

| Not Worth It

By user-5819578... on 2018-07-06. Stayed 2018-06-17 to 2018-06-21

Narrow spaces between trees! We didn't have trouble backing in but watched a neighbor RV be guided right into a picnic table (by staff). Need to spread gravel. The park turned into a mud hole after a rain so it was a mess. Too expensive for what was offered. Paying to shower and the water trickled. Not even hot! We should have paid closer attention to the reviews on their website. Next time we will go to Elkhorn Ridge.

A little pricey, but easy to get to. Pools closed, and one of the bath /laundry facilities (directly across from our site). Space seemed adequate, but weren't outside much.

| Great place with friendly hosts

It's always a pleasure to stay at Chris's Camp. It is a must stop for us anytime we are traveling through on I-90. Chris and Lanna are just the nicest hosts and ensure everything is perfect. The pull through sites are long and level and the hookups are in all the right places. Our site is open enough for satellite reception. Close to the highway but without the highway noise.

| Great for kids!!

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09.

We stay here every summer with our 4 kids (ages 2-12) and the entire family talks about it all year. They love feeding the baby animals every morning and evening. The pool is good and so is the laundry. Chris and Lanna are awesome and so is their daughter (she went to Walmart for us when my wife got really sick). Sure, it s not the most modern or fanciest, but we love it.

| No issues here

By user-unknown on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2019-07-14 to 2019-07-15

We stopped here on our trip to eastern South Dakota because the Walmart does not allow overnight parking. Fortunately we were able to get a pull through spot for our 36 travel trailer. The full hookup was nice and the staff guided me into my space. The first thing I noticed was the spaces are very tight. In fact when we popped our slides out, I had to move my neighbor s picnic table. Aside from the tight spaces, we identified no issues here. The campground is clean and look presentable and offers many bonuses like: 2 pools and the kids can bottle feed the animals. Would have loved to stay here longer and check it out a little more.
