The owners were so great, friendly and hard working. We saw them all day improving one thing or another. The sites are not too cramped. Full hook ups but not over 30 Amp. Bathrooms were clean. Then...the showers. They take a quarter and you might, but might not, get hot water. That was a big surprise. The weather was low 90s so it was ok.
This has been the perfect stopover for us on our trips to and from PEI! Lovely lakeside camping.
We did not want to leave! From the wonderful greeting by a very friendly staff to the beautiful lake surrounding the campground. Easy pull through's, very clean bathrooms and full hookups. Game room, kayaks, canoes and bike riding! We will be back!
Very well priced, and we got a spot right in the Lake. Drank coffee and watched the sunrise while the wifey slept in. What could be more perfect? Fellow at the desk was very friendly and laid back. Would definitely come again.
The APP had the wrong coordinates, I put in a Fix, it's officially 86 Christie Campground Road Newport ME 04953 but if you put in 170 Christie Campground Road it'll take you to the check in Office. No need to say be careful on the way in, it's easy to see the road has lots of dips in it. Once you're in the campground it's great. Lots of families here. Great lake view.
We stayed here for an overnight in October on our way home from Canada. It's beautiful and right on the lake. The morning sunrise and fog lifting off the lake was gorgeous. Would definitely stay here again.
