Great find. Limited # spaces but all overlooking the lake. Each site has covered built in bench & table viewing area. It is a city park but camping area is separated from picnic/fishing section.

This review is based on the over selling of this park as the greatest TV park ever. Firstly, they insist on the phone that all sites are the same and have the same view. Not true. This place has almost exclusively gisnt vehicles since they don't provide shower facilities. All I saw,was a parking lot of buses in front of me with, yes, a water bie over the top but nothing compared to what the people beliw me got. AND they charged me for 3 nights when I only needed to because they said they coukd get a 3 night reservation. That's fine to macimize revenue IF it is stated policy. I paid for a night I didn't use. The sites are narrow with a sheltered picnic tabke and a deck with a bench which seems n8ce but then no one wants to hang out on a splintery bench. You want to put your comfy chairs that we,all hsve in that space and there isn't realky another place to set up your chairs. Maybe some sites. I'd cry if zi had that beautiful front row spot with a deck over the water that I couldn't use. The benches should be removed. The fire pits were bizarrely placed. They wete difficult or inconvenient at best. The worst ones were unusabke due to crzy location like on the side of a hill. I could barely hook up my electric because it was buried in a bush. In the right spot this could be a wonderful place if you could find a way to get your chairs on the deck to enjoy ut. But they don't let you reserve a specific spot. It is nice to be able to walk downtown but it is nothing to speak of. The copper mine tour was fantadtic. Don't miss out on that.

Looked lovely, but no sites available. Friendly staff helped us with finding another park using their wifi and called the other park for us to see if they had room since we had no US cell service

Loved it. Nice people, excellent WiFi, inexpensive washer and dryer, quiet and clean. Hot water showers, dump and drinking water, all sites are electric, but no water and sewer, only the dump station. Great value at $20.

Not that great a campground, but having a city park with bathrooms and a beach next door makes up for it. There is also a bike path to downtown and the MTU campus. Almost level spots with full hookups, but full of big rigs and no bathrooms in the campground. Expensive, but you are paying for location. Staff was friendly.

Nice paved spaces, right in downtown Houghton, and on the river, with great views of the lift bridge. Easy walk into downtown, and the bike/ walking path.

It s $45 a night now, and marginally worth it. It s not a resort, and is very tight for big rigs with overhanging tree branches. The view is nice and the private deck is great for watching the sunset. Sites are level and paved. Wifi is marginal, but ATT worked well, as did satellite. Utilities were fine, but way back in the site. Adjacent city park does not allow dogs, so there is essentially no place to walk Fido except for the interior street. This is a nice place for an under 40 rv, but the price is starting to creep up. If you have a class A motorhome, you will hit tree branches at the west end of the park as you make the loop, and pray that people don t park cars too close to the road!
