| Nice campground

Have stayed 3 - 4 times going between KS and the gulf. Not fancy at all, but staff all pleasant and helpful, easy access to hwy and dining, and safe area. We like it a lot.

Campground is nice, clean shower and bathrooms. Sites are close, but grounds are very well kept. Laundry room with 4 washers and 3 dryers. Cost is 9.00 a night for seniors. Park Attendants are very friendly and helpful. Will stay here again!

Wifi works great (best I have seen across US), showers, laundry, and a lake... Spots are close together but for the price you cannot beat this campground!! $16/night $8 for seniors

Second time we have stayed here. Senior rates half price. Water electric - hook up showers and laindry and dump station. Gate closes at 11:00 PMT Would give a 5 if it had sewer hook ups

| Ant nightmares and rude campground employees

At first we loved the campground. It was neat and the cost was low. However, they have a huge ant problem and my new trailer is now infested. What looked like an entire colony was crawling up the jack stands. The employees patrol hourly and kind of bark at folks for the slightest possible infraction like parking by the laundry mat to unload. Beach area sand is extremely littered so wear shoes! Too bad because it is prime location and low rates and with a little care and a lot better attitude it could be a slice of heaven. Sad how people can make or break a place.

Poor park management has taken a toll on this park. We ve been coming here for stays to visit relatives since 2007. Management seems to take delight in creating excessive rules to prove something. Not sure what. He is very unfriendly and almost hostile. We ve stayed at numerous parks, but none with this kind of management....ever. The hosts are generally nice. Beautiful views, but cramped. Nice laundry, Road was redone after a flood, but sites were not. It is convenient to the Dallas area. There is a gate that is locked from 11pm to 6am. $16-18, but $8-9 for over 60.

Lovely park. Sites are tightly packed in together yet each has a picnic table, electric, & water. Dump station. Showers were clean & adequate. Grounds well maintained. Stayed 3nts without issue. Staff was nice & helpful.

| Fairly priced in a city owned park

Good spot. We spent a couple days here to wait out weather on our cross country trek. Sites are tighter, but adequate. Several sites look like they need to redone as they are cracked and broken. Have to say I found it odd that this is the only park/campground we ve ever stayed where the (gruff and very rule oriented) office attendant actually came out to verify we have current registration for both our tow vehicle and travel trailer (which we do). Why does the City of Lewisville, TX care? Can t comment on the restrooms or showers since we didn t use them or the laundry facilities. We did enjoy the walking path that was near the lake. The lake itself was technically closed due to some recent flooding, but the path was accessible and good for walking the dog. We paid $16/night for water and electric (it s $8/night for seniors). Be warned though, there was a signed posted announcing a price increase effective January 1, 2019. ($16/night sites will $20/night and senior prices will go up to $10/night)

If you want to be yelled at and treated like a child this is the place ! Front office staff are sI rude ! It s cheap for a reason folks! Not dog, people, car , trailer anything friendly! I have stayed at over 50 parks and have never had a problem until now

This was our second stay. We stayed here the maximum 28 days in March/April of 2018. For the price, the park is pretty nice. Electric and water hookups and a dump station. The restrooms are clean and the laundry room is reasonable. Nice views of the lake and a mostly quiet park when we have been there. I will advise there are sports fields adjacent to the campground so I m sure it may get noisy during ball seasons. Some of the sites are pretty close together while others have more space between rigs. My biggest issue was with the parking regulations they seem to have recently decided to enforce. The website does not have the rules as they are now. Last year we were allowed to have our travel trailer, tow vehicle and another car parked on or near our site. Now they only allow one vehicle inside the park per camp site. So we were forced to park one vehicle outside the park and walk in when it was raining or the temps were in the 20 s. Very inconvenient and no good reason for it since the campground was barely at 50% capacity and there was ample unused parking. We won t be back until the rules are changed.

This was a wonderful park. The only drawback was no sewer. We managed for 4 days no problem by using the park facilities, which were very nice. The wi-fi was great for us for the 4 days. Even able to stream Netflix. Nice sites and nice clean restrooms and sowers. For $10 night for seniors you can not beat it. Will absolutely stay here again if we are ever in the area again.
