We stayed in 24 ft travel trailer on site 16. Supposed to be pull the but good luck trying to get through double hairpins turns to do that. We backed in. Site is more than 4 inches off level, bring a stack of 2x6's. Has a nice deck with BBQ that end up under your awning. Very small park, dump station is on a hill and you have to go out of thw park to get turned around to go back to your site.Most of sites are made for tents or pop ups. McKinney is close and much better layout.
Loved it here. All sites are shaded as it is in the woods. You can swim in the lake. We stayed at South not North but passed entrance to South by accident and went into North to turn around. Staff at both offices were very helpful and friendly! We have a 40ft Class A with car in tow and didn't have much trouble getting around. Two lane road but very curvy and up and down so you will need both lanes to make turns in a big rig so make sure you go slow and watch for other vehicles. Unhook at the gate! We had a backin site and waited untill we got there to unhook not knowing it was so hilly. We got it done but would be much easier at the gate. CONS: GATE CLOSES AT 10PM. No entry after that so make sure you are back before they lock you out. If you do get locked out I was told we could park at the marina and walk in. Also the dump station was difficult to get into. We had to back up several times to make the turn in our rig. Although our site was level I could tell there are alot that are not. Most curve downward then have a little flat spot at the bottom so a small trailer would be better. Seemed like mostly the lake side ones were this way. Bring bug spray! Woods+lake=mosquitoes Loved the site and the people here, would definitely stay again!
