| Beautiful grounds, helpful and polite Rangers
The staff here was by far the best I've ever stayed at. They had many Rangers and patrols on duty and I felt really safe. The place had a lot of locals that were walking their dogs through or jogging. 2 of which asked us for handouts. We timed it right because we were nearly the only ones in the first cluster of camp grounds. Because we had a dog we didn't get to do much hiking in the area which was disappointing but the grounds by the pond were beautiful. We saw lots of wildlife: turtles, deer, fish and raccoons. Their swimming area looked tempting and all of the bathroom/shower facilities were the best I've ever seen at any camp ground. Super clean and nice. The only critic is that they didn't have soap in the bathroom to wash hands. luckily we brought some so it wasn't a big deal. We came during a time were there was construction on the road. They did a very good job of posting stuff on the website announcing this and their signage was very well marked. Over all it was an excellent stay... So we booked an extra night.
| Great star park
We stayed here for two nights and loved it! One of the most cleanest well kept parks that we've been to in a while. The bathrooms and showers were emaculate. Wish we could have stayed here a couple more days. WiFi service is available through your cellular service and great Verizon coverage. We stayed here in an rv, the sites were level, no electricity or drain.
| Nice place
We stayed here for one night in our small motor home. The rangers were very welcoming and friendly upon arrival. The site was paved and there was plenty of room. No hookups but there is a dump station on the property. We had a picnic table and a barbecue. You can buy firewood at the entrance. The boat launch was a short walk away and the swimming beach was a very short drive. We would definitely stay here again! Very quiet and peaceful.
