This clean, friendly park is our favorite so far. Not many people staying here at the end of December, mostly locals. The lake is way down but it's still gorgeous with the green rolling hills. Nice hiking, biking, horse trails. Self pay in the winter, ranger comes by a couple times a day. $30 per night for a site with power & water. They have a few with sewer hookups and a well maintained rv dump at the entrance.
We stayed here for 14 days. Hottest showers and best I ever had at a campground. All the rangers and camp host are helpful and friendly. Its 20 miles in from Chowchilla and the road ends at the park so make sure you stock up before going. Electric and water on site. We got 42 TV stations over the air and the have a list like cable. Hughs network for TV. We had site 42 and a great view of the huge lake and animals running around. A definite keeper for us.
