I haven't stayed at a ton of parks but this was probably one of the disappointing parks. Not a bad location, about 5 minute drive to Cody. Staff was efficient but not very friendly or helpful. Cable didnt really work and the staff suggested I find a secret button in my trailer to push (have never had a problem before here). The majority of the park is out in the open with no trees for shade or wind break. Pads were semi level, but rutted out dirt/gravel made for uneven areas in the pad. Felt like I was camping in a cow pasture. Bathrooms, laundry facilities, and lounge were fine. Not a bad overnight stop if have younger kids, as they do have a pool, trampoline, basketball court, game room, and other things for entertainment. It is set up like a vacation destination for people with kids who aren't going to leave the park, but it is located basically in a field. Just not my cup of tea.

This is middle-of-the-road KOA. It has decent amenities... pool, laundry, cable, etc... but so-so WiFi. We had a site near the front, which was shaded. However, you hear all the road noise and everybody coming in and out. This place has a lot of traffic! We also had people arriving in the middle of the night. It was hard to get a good night's sleep... unless you like wearing ear plugs. Also, there was no pet area. The spaces were really weird... we had a nice patio space, but they parked the motorhomes in opposite directions. Our bedroom slides were just two feet from our neighbor's slide. Some spaces shared the patio space... which is a first for me. My main problem is that the place was too expensive... even by KOA standards. I know that Cody is a popular place, but this is the second most expensive that I've ever stayed in... and I'm a full-timer.

If a Wyoming vacation with Cody and Yellowstone National Park is in the cards, then Cody KOA is a sure bet. Just an hour away from the east entrance to Yellowstone, this campground makes a perfect base camp for your Western adventures. Ride the free shuttle to Cody Nite Rodeo every summer evening. Buffalo Bill Center of the West houses five museums featuring art, Native American artifacts and exhibits. Fill up on free pancakes at KOA before heading out on your own or with a guide to whitewater raft or fly-fish on the Shoshone River. Swim in the heated pool or soak in the hot tub while little ones splash in a separate wading pool. Cody KOA is the only place in town to kick back and roast marshmallows over a fire. Kids enjoy the Fun Zone with a Jumping Pillow, playground, giant chess/checkers, fun-bike rentals, ladderball and cornhole. Fido will enjoy Kamp K9. Free Wi-Fi!
