I would give it a 5 if there was a dump station. Campground is well maintained. Gravel road in with gravel campsites. Tenters have plenty of grass to use between sites. Max rv length is @ 36ft. The lake is beautiful and well used by locals. They do not always pick up trash before leaving. Lake is spring fed and fairly clear water. This is a gem in a valley next to a mountain. They added a second pit toilet making two here and another was already at lake front. The dumpsters were full and the 1st pit toilet looked full but it needed to be cleaned. Piles of toilet paper was hung on the grating. Worst pit toilet I have seen. With metal tables, steel fire pits and fresh water at central faucet, this is a great place to stay for $10 per night but $5 with senior pass. Windcave and Custer State Park 30 minutes away and Mt Rushmore 45 minutes away.cOE employees were polite and helpful plus they and the Sherriff rode by daily.
