Reviews for Colorado Springs KOA

| Nice Campground

By user-5821122... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2016-07-18 to 2016-08-01

Gravel roads and pads and big rig friendly. Fair amount a space between sites. Full hook-ups, but a little dated in appearance. Did have good voltage and water pressure. Biggest drawback was train noise and highway noise, but tolerable.

| Great for Families

By user-6339016... on 2017-10-23.

We like to stay at KOA's, there is a level of standard. And this one was amazing. The staff was very helpful. It is labeled a "holiday" meaning there is food on sight (very reasonably priced) and things for the kids to do. My kids loved their new splash pad area. It was amazing from my 6 year old to my teen. Even my husband had fun playing with the kids in it. Will certainly stay again when we come through again

| Nice Overnight!

Stayed in pull-thru site #197 with a Motorhome and a Jeep toad. Site was level and open with a upscale stone base. Did not use the facilities but they appreared to be first rate. We would be happy to stay here again!

| HORRIBLE - BEWARE OF CANCELLATION POLICY

By user-5213890... on 2017-10-23.

This place is a parking lot. BEWARE OF ONE HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY - NO REFUNDS. This KOA fails to tell you about the trains running nearby with train whistles day and night. The I-25 traffic noise is tolerable. No shade. Artillery noise from military range across interstate from KOA at night when we stayed. KOA CORPORATE policy to cancel is 48 hrs but THIS KOA made its own ONE HOUR cancellation policy so once you have hooked everything up you are stuck with no returns of any prepaid unused stay money. Also - RV sales lot next door to KOA uses intercom to page salesmen so be prepared for that noise as well. Choose another campground!!!

Stayed here for 2 weeks in June of 2015 and 2 weeks in September of 2017. We really like the camp ground and the office staff. Plan to stay there again if/when we return to Colorado Springs (our favorite vacation site). Adequate space for our 35' Winnebago towing a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

| Okay for quick stop

By user-5727511... on 2017-10-23.

Not best location for the Colorado Springs attractions, and no reason to want to hang out at the campground. It is very crowded and no shade, and you can be very far from bath houses. Staff was nice.

| Very nice park

By user-4721562... on 2017-10-23.

This is the nicest KOA that we have stayed at. Very accommodating office staff and very helpful outside staff. Stayed 4 nights in a pull thru with full hookup & cable in a 35 ft TT. Premium sites have concrete pads with patio with table & chairs and a free standing fire pit. Would recommend.

| Great place

Was here for a few months. Great place to stay. Staff was supper great. We had some great neighbors come and go as we stayed there. They are doing some renovation to the camp ground to make it even better. If you have animals or just want to get out and walk. There is a great view of a water fall in the river.

| Disappointed

Stayed one night in 40ft DP, terrible site. They put me in a back up site (nothing available) which was in the road. Staff should of told me nothing available, I would have continued on. 58.00 dollars with KOA membership. Cars driving around my rig on to the lawn all night. Office staff stated “if they hit me they’ll have to pay. 6 am, employee of the park that was parked next to my rig, started his rig and let it run for 30 minutes. Uggggggg, never again

| Very pleased

Lot 104 (deluxe site) for a 9 day stay. New patio, new fire place and a charcoal grill. Nice patio furniture. Super clean, well kept place. Clean bathrooms & laundry. $2.00 a load. 2 fenced in dog areas, plus dog walking area. Note: they do not allow dog x-pens so don't bother putting them up. We don't have kids but they had what looked like a great pool and water slides. Numerous nice looking cabins and covered tent areas. Only negative would be road noise, which didn't bother us any. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.

| Park okay, Road Noise Too Much

By user-4573835... on 2018-07-06. Stayed 2018-05-18 to 2018-05-20

Typical KOA. FHU, cable good. WiFi not too good-when you could get connected. Site ok, not cramped. Picnic table and fire pit. Semi grassy and a tree. Facilities were clean. Onsite cafe we did not visit. Pool and hot tub, but unfortunately not open until Memorial Day. The road noise from I25 is constant. We were right in the middle of the park so I can’t imagine what the sites are like up front. Also, trains run randomly thru the nite blowing their whistle. Staff helpful and friendly. Rate is with KOA membership discount.

| Great stop, will come again

By user-4685346... on 2018-07-06. Stayed 2018-06-11 to 2018-06-12

This was a great stop. They have a water park along side the swimming pool. The place is super clean and the staff is extremely nice. There is a cool stream behind the camp grounds. The spots are close together but we had enough room to have a fire and didn’t fell like we were intruding. Get a delux patio for more personal space.

| Great Last-minute Substitute

By user-5429620... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2018-08-24 to 2018-08-27

We stayed here because Garden of the Gods had been flooded out. It turns out this was a great park for our daughter, grandkids and great-grand kids to come visit us. We stayed in the back by the creek on a level 45' pull thru with a concrete patio, chairs, firepit and barbeque. The noise from I-25 was noticeable, but not awful. We had a nice fire each night and the kiddies got to play in the splash pool and there was a tractor ride in the evening. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We camped at Colorado Springs KOA in a Motorhome.

| Just Outside of Colorado Springs

| Glass everywhere!!!

By user-5473042... on 2019-08-09.

I was put into a site that was completely trashed, and covered in glass, and when I brought it up to them... They did absolutely nothing. I asked to have the owner got in touch with me, and I got absolutely nothing. Never even heard from them. For $75 a night, this place was a nightmare. It's not a bad campground, but it's certainly not worth the price. Bad water pressure, smelly laundry facilities, constant construction noise as they are redoing the park, and again... I was in a spot covered with glass, and no one cared.

| Good family park

By user-6261843... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2019-06-06 to 2019-06-08

Park is very geared toward families with splash pad with water slides, pool, bike rentals and lots of kid activities. Laundries are good with plenty of washer/dryers. Lots of KOA yellow shirts around to help with whatever you need. Sites are good size, and most are pull thru. Close to Colorado Springs. Biggest negative is the VERY loud traffic sounds from I25. Plus trains. Deters you from sitting outside. Very expensive for what you get if not traveling with kids. 36' 5th wheel w/5 slides.

By user-5293093... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2019-06-20 to 2019-06-25

Great KOA conveniently located just off I-25 right outside of Colorado Springs. Most of the sites are pull through with a gravel park pad and a small grass area with picnic table between each site. The park has a great pool with a water park area and a game room to help keep the kids occupied. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Wifi worked well for us during our stay.

| Nice site but noisy

By user-6252194... on 2019-08-09. Stayed 2019-07-11 to 2019-07-12

The check-in process was not smooth (they thought we had already checked in and had to send someone to our site to make sure it was empty). The site was level and spacious, picnic table and fire pit provided. There is a river that runs along the backside which was a nice place to walk. Definitely convenient given that it s right off I 25. However, with that comes the road noise (and a lot of it!). They have a pool and water park right next to the entrance which can be very loud due to speakers that play a looped story for the kids (it was pretending that something was going to blow up). It was extremely loud. We did not take advantage of onsite cafe, cabins or showers. But bathrooms and showers looked like they needed to be cleaned and were very cramped.
