By user-5500884... on 2017-10-23.
They failed to in us there was no water in Colter Bay. Would have been nice to know. Old park. Poorly laid out and too small sites for modern RVs

Not so Bad

No hookups here, but sites are pull through and big enough to not be on top of each other. Each site has a fire pit, a picnic table and some tall pines to sit under. No amenities to speak of, but for pete's sake, who cares? Drive, hike or bike around Grand Teton, this is spectacularly beautiful country. The RV park is a place to eat and sleep and you can't beat the location (inside the national park).

Horrible
By user-5853674... on 2017-10-23.
The ONLY good thing is that it's first come no reservations. I hate making reservations when traveling the whole country. Now the truth about this place: it is operated by a concessioner that does NOTHING to maintain the campground. Roads are horrible and potholed, sites are unlevel, dirty and deteriorated. There's no privacy and it's too far from the village or lake to walk. If you're in an RV with no toad then your screwed unless you want to break camp. All this and NO hookups for $30.00 a night! No refunds!!!!! I asked. That's what you get for privatization. If travelled over 5000 miles on this trip and have stayed mostly at self pay kiosk public campgrounds. All of them have been awesome except this one. This concessioner SUCKS!!!!!!

We stayed here for convenience and we didn't have a reservation. Probably would not stay here again. Park was in pretty bad shape, no kind of maintenance done, roads were very bumpy and lots of pot holes. Only good thing was we had full hookups. Price was extremely high for what you get. Bathrooms were very outdated and not the cleanest.

Fantastic Roughing It spot!
By user-5308706... on 2019-08-09.
One of our favorite campgrounds. No hook ups but there is a damp station & place to fill your water as needed. Real camping in the National Park. We took the car on day trips from here, it was convient. We walked, biked, went kayaking, saw deer in our campsite. It was simply perfect. We had a corner site which was a good fit for our class C & toad. Definitely a highlight of our cross country journey. We began with a night at Gros Ventre, then packed up early the next morning and waited in line to get a first come, first served spot .

Good location

As a campground not the best, showers $4.50, roads need work and no amenities. There is a beach that you can hike to and we had deer and bear saunter through. Wifi at the laundromat. But this is a great location for exploring the park with ease.
