Stayed for an overnight. Close to Interstate10. 50amp service. That's all we needed. Left early in the morning.

This park comes up as a KOA but is no longer affiliated with them. This is clearly not a resort RV park. And in their defense it had rain hard for three days before our arrival. We stayed one night while passing through. It needs some upkeep and money spent. That said. The owner who I spoke with over the phone could not have been kinder and helpful. Giving detailed directions, local store info, and recommendations for meals. Upon arrival after hours she had a very kind gentleman check us in. He was extremely warm and you felt like he's a beloved uncle. He helped my husband chose a spot and make sure we pulled our 40' fiver and dually in with no issues. The price was not as described in description, it was $32(I was short a dollar and he was so sweet about saying to forget it), but we were fine with it. This park is fine for a quiet over night, or for workers. Seems most residents are hard working quiet folks. Yes some spaces are not as clean as stringent run resorts, but we felt safe and were fine with it. Spaces are crushed fine gravel, dirt, and grass areas. The trees over the large pull thru's are trimmed high for clearance, which we appreciate.

Great place to stay
By user-5908924... on 2017-10-23.
I lucked out finding this campground, which is right off hwy 10. Very friendly owner, and the place is near a Walmart and several good restaurants. Very quiet with strong Internet signal.

Good for stopover.

If your looking for a safe overnight this place is good. If your looking for paved sites and a country club it's not. The 50 amp overnight sites are grass, there are chickens and a big tom turkey, some cats and dogs, reminds me of home. It appears the owner is working very hard to improve the grounds. She is very nice. I would stay here again. We paid $30. The town of Columbus is a bit odd.

Priced right / no glamour

Very close to Walmart and priced right. The baths were clean and so was the laundry. Six washers and six dryers. Staff very polite and helpful. They warned me about local police looking for people with lights out, etc. There's a lot of full timers camped out here and a lot of "stuff" laying out that's usually not allowed. If you needed to work on your RV, I don't think it would be a problem here. I found no 50 amp breakers in the middle of night and there's two 30 amp and two water and sewer hookups together. It's like they want you to pull thru one way and the guy next to you to pull thru headed the other way. They probably saved money on breaker boxes that way. LOTS of trees, cats, and a Tom Turkey. Don't agitate the turkey, they WILL attack if provoked. Kind of like parking at grandmas farm only with hookups. Roads are dirt and a little rough here and there. There's no concrete patios. Overall, I liked it, but I'm a country boy, born and raised in Texas. The pool looks clean and inviting, but I didn't use it yet.

Needs updating
By user-5811223... on 2017-10-23.
The price listing on RV Buddy says$21-$25 but this apparently is outdated. For a 30 amp site, with water, electric, and sewer it cost us $31 supposedly with a Good Sam discount. The whole site looks dilapidated and kinda scary but it was quiet and right off the interstate (I-10). We were only there for an overnighter.

Just OK
By user-5904944... on 2017-10-23.
For an overnight with no need for amenities, its ok. Grass sites, relatively level. PROS: Inexpensive ($30 for family of 4). Close to I-10 but quiet. Nice pool. Good wifi signal. Large, clean laundry room. Large shade trees. Walmart clise by. CONS: Let's just say the free roaming chickens and large turkey are a bit strange. No picnic tables. Showers have had a facelift but are somewhat shabby. No place for kids to play other than the pool. Come here if you want to sleep, cruise the internet, have hookups and do laundry. That's about it.
