There are 23 sites with no amenities. No reservations are taken so we were concerned that we wouldn't get a site on a Friday night. We called in advance, but there is no staff at the camping area but they said they normally don't fill up. When we got there, there was only one other camper there. Later one other camper arrived. Sites are fairly large--big trees all around and a little river (creek) runs around 3 sides of the camping area. Has play ground and Pit toilets in the center that are pretty smelly. There is one site that has electricity, but there is a lock on it, but it happened to be left open so we took that site as it was in the 80s that day and our RV was really warm inside. Very few bugs. Self serve "Post" as you come in. Just $11/night. Very quiet as it is on the edge of town and just a couple of miles off the interstate so it convenient for traveling I-90. Despite the lack of amenities, we would stop again if we were going through that area. If you are a tent camper--you would probably give it a 4 star just for the location and beauty.
Spent two days here in class A. No amenities, except some sites I think you could fill fresh water. Very beautiful area, the river runs right through the park. Grassy park, lots of huge shade trees, some pull through parking spots. Picnic table and camp fire at each site. Great playground in the center of the park. Some slight train noise, but not bad at all.
Ditto comments below. Shared the whole park with one other camper. Backed right up to river that wraps the park and had relaxing stopover on trip through SD-WY-MT.
