Reviews for Cooper Lake State Park / South Sulphur Unit

| Quiet Place for a Night

Like the previous review, we only stopped here to spend a quick night. It was deserted on a summer Monday evening, so we slept great. Park staff was friendly and accommodating. The pull-throughs are semi-circle shaped, and the concrete is only wide enough for the width of your vehicle, so there's no way to make it all the way through without getting on the grass. We camped here in a 40' MH plus toad. $26 for two adults for electric and water, can't complain.

Just stayed overnight passing through so didn't get a chance to enjoy the park but it seemed real nice.

We camp here alot because it is an hour from home. The camp sites are spacious and private. Restrooms are always clean and well maintained.

| Good Park. Could be a little better

We camp at this park fequently. I was disappointed this time around. It seems like the upkeep of the park is lacking. The picnic table where my special needs daughter was sitting broke as it was pretty rotted. There were signs everywhere stating no kiddie pools or water balloons. This is very disappointing to us with a grandbaby with us. We like a very small kiddie pool with about an inch or two of water in it for the baby to play in to stay cool during the day. When I asked why it was said that the water usage and damage by the pool setting. Other than that, it overall is a good park with nice campsites. Level parking and good spacing. I am afraid if the upkeep is not started soon, this good park will not be so good.
