Russell is a lovely host! There aren't very many sites in the park, but they are essentially right downtown, and we got a very pretty, level site right on the creek. Perfect for a relaxing evening and overnight stay.
Small park on a creek in middle of downtown. Sites are on the creek (we actually saw a guy catching fish), with a new picnic table on each. Clean and fairly new showers and restrooms. Creeper Trail ends just a couple of blocks away, and bike store across street. Russell, the owner, is as friendly and helpful as they come.
Very small rv park right in downtown Damascus, maybe 7-8 spaces. The owner Russell, is a great guy, and has a wealth of information about the area. There is a bike shuttle place, right across the street, for the Virginia Creeper Trail. The Appalachian Trail is right on the street, beside the rv park. You can watch the hikers go by. Great place to stay.
