Like others have said the noise never stops. Very difficult too sleep, but probably the cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen.
I apologize that you did not enjoy your stay at Creekwood Inn. We do have trees which surround the park as well as a trail and creek which run parallel to the park. Creekwood Inn is located 3 minutes driving distance from downtown anchorage. We are within walking distance from shopping centers and restaurants. We have installed brand new landscaping surrounding the property and freshly painted the motel. We hope you will give Creekwood another chance to see our improvements. Have a wonderful day. This is one of those places that has good and bad sides. The good is that it is convenient to a lot of things, it has amazingly clean bathrooms and showers and the laundry room has brand new washer and dryers. The bad is it is right on the Seward Highway and is very noisy ALL the time. The traffic never stops. If you can get as far away from the road as possible you might be okay. The sites are very close together and we could not even put our awning out and we have a small camper. There are some really great walking/bike paths right next to the campground. Wifi only worked close to the office. There was cable tv. Our site had all hookups.
From their website you might get the impression this is an rv park in a peaceful woods. It's not. It is located in the city surrounded by buildings with nary a tree or creek in sight. The location is not convenient to any downtown locations of interest.
The staff was friendly, the buildings are clean and well-kept. The only negative is the highway noise. Not a place to go for a long stay, but we would stop there again passing through.
Pros: incredibly clean bathrooms, showers included in price. Electricity, water and sewer at each site. Brand new washers and dryers (not cheap though), very convenient to downtown. Cons: sites close together, close to main road but my site was away from the road and noise did not bother me at all. I slept really well.
