Reviews for Crooked Creek Resort & RV Park

| Very nice

By user-5776489... on 2017-10-23.

we had site 80 had a nice site with the creek behind us. The motel rooms are just on the other side of site though but when we stayed there in May, there was no one in the motel, so there wasn't any traffic. I can see how it might be an issue in the busy months. Site 80, didn't have sewer, normally I don't mind going to the dump station, but I have been to over 100 parks in 20 years and I have never seen a dump station that you had to back in to. That was a little inconvenient.

If you are not, stay away! Noisy, run their Harley's at full throttle..good luck getting any peace and quiet!

| Great experience

Target market here is families coming to visit the many monuments and parks in the area, and groups of tent campers coming to ride the bike trail. The pool and playground for the kids, and wine bar for mom and dad, are well suited and a good fit. Lots of very nice, almost pastoral, sites for tents. We visited to ride the trail and see the monuments too, but as full timers with no kids, we didn't take advantage of the other amenities. 4 stars because a few things were problematic for us, but overall we had a great experience with this park. Water pressure is low and water is extremely hard.

| Great RV park

I cannot recommend this park highly enough. We had initially made a 7 day reservation at the nearby KOA but after 3 hours cancelled and looked for other options. We found this gem of a park not too far way and loved our visit. They have cable TV, great WiFi and 4G cell phone service, none of which are found at the KOA. The owners, Lillian and Leon could not have been more friendly or helpful. They are originally from the south and bring that southern hospitality to their family owned park. We would highly recommend that you stay here. Only minor issues is all sites are back in, no pull throughs, but Leon directs you to your site and helps you back in easily. Water pressure is a little low but no big deal. Loved our stay and we are so glad we found this park and would definately come back again. Give it a try, you will not be sorry.

| Friendly Camping & Hosts

Enjoyed two week stay. Great laundry & the Mickelson Trail was so easy to access. Small hotel, teepees, level sites. Will stay here again.

Had site #69. Hosts were great. Close to many attractions. Some noise from highway, but it's above you. Would stay there again.

| Holiday rambling

We have been traveling for 12 days with Our toy hauler and trike, coming to deadwood to Custer and now here as we didn't have space after july2. Paid more due to holiday but still nice. We had checked the KOA palmer gulch but so glad we didn't after visiting it! Not for the quiet ! Anyway although our space was very narrow to the point we couldn't use our awning (no biggie as we were gone all day anyway) we,were,on the far south end and it was quiet in spite of busy holiday. Other side of park was packed! But staff. Is very nice and helpful. Nice well stocked store and a wine bar and beer bar! It,does, sit,n the busy road if you're not on the backside but after 7pm ish no problem. We slept great. Good value
