We stayed in the A lot over the weekend and had a great experience! The staff was very friendly, the bath house was immaculate, and the rest of the campground was also clean and well-maintained. I also loved the fact that the campsites were larger than average. We ended up in a spot that made it feel like we were the only ones in the whole campground! I have read some complaints about road noise, but didn't find it to be terribly loud, and also didn't experience the problem with cats as mentioned in another review. I give our first visit an A+, and I can't wait to visit again!
We come here when visiting Charlotte. It is easy to get to off of I85 and has wide pull-through spaces. Very quiet and restful. We enjoyed the pool too. Thanks Crosswinds.
On Sunday we weren't sure if we wanted to stay another night, there more than 10 sites around us open so we knew it wouldn't be a problem if we chose to stay. Last minute we decided to leave for work reasons and planned on paying for the night anyway since we stayed 3 hours past the 4:00 checkout. As we were pulling out of the site the owners pulled in front of us and blocked us in. When the man confronted us we told him we planned on paying for the night even though we decided to leave. He was clearly ready for confrontation and was less than polite at first acting as if we were trying to take advantage of them saying we had water and electric for 3 more hours and we "got another night whether we wanted it or not." I quickly reminded him that "I just told you we were going to pay for the night." When his wife came over and said we'd only be charged $20 , I opened my wallet and he decided $10 would be fine. After he found out we were local and we started talking about pilot friends of his, the atmosphere changed dramatically and they were both pleasant and said they wanted us to come back. Site Review: 5+ Stars The sites are HUGE and fairly Level, with covered trash cans and fire pits at each site. Cable was great and wifi worked well. Very nice bathrooms and a nice stocked Pond with plenty of wooded walking trails. One of the nicest places we have stayed. Pay CLOSE ATTENTION to the rules, they mention you potentially being asked to leave for not following certain rules. After the final confrontation mentioned above, I have no doubt they would ask you to leave...not that this is bad for other campers that do follow the rules. I don't get the feeling they are flexible. But knowing that going in, you will have a great experience.
We drove 5 hours from Richmond VA to Kings Mountain NC to trade RVs for a new Holiday Rambler. It would have been to much to go back after the walk through so I looked up campgrounds and Crosswinds had a high rating. I called and Glenda was wonderful. On way knew it would be after 5 when I got there so I called and she said no problem. We had no food in new unit so she told us to go to Hendrix in Spencer. Great choice. Great campground. Will definitely be back
Nice surroundings, clean facilities, friendly owner, what's not to like here? We hope to return.

Everything about the campground was nice and clean. Easy pull through site with all hookups. Too early for us to use the pool in March. The only negative was the feral cat. Very aggressive about trying to get in our truck and camper. When we tried to voice our concern to owner she said they couldn't do anything about them and mentioned that they get dogs sometimes too. Difficult to enjoy outside when the cat was there. I hope they can address this with help from their animal control.
Quiet and nice. We got some needed rest. TV and wifii worked great. Staff was friendly.
Easy off I85 and picked a pull-through site. Clean and well maintained site. Went to Hendrix in Spencer for dinner, and it was great BBQ. As it was still early in season, pool was still covered. Grounds are nice and quite at night. Would stay again.
What I nice park. Had a great pull through site. Bath house was like brand new, very clean. Friendly staff. We got a flat tire 14 miles away from the park. Called Bills truck stop just down the road. They said they would be there in 30 min. 2 hours later and 3 phone calls they show up. Wouldn't recommend them but will stay here again.
Beautiful campsites. Most were treed and just lovely. The pull throughs are at the front not as many trees. But level and nice with fire ring and picnic tables. Pull throughs are gravel. The bath house was very nice, multiple showers and hot water was good. Very clean and NOT unisex. The only minor complaint we be the park could've used more lighting. Walking to the restroom at 3 am was extremely dark and a little unnerving. But overall absolutely wonderful.

Clean, neat and easy in and out and goo cable. They no longer give PA or any other discounts. A the attendant said our discounts are figured into the price. At $41 a night I doubt it and that is why I gave it 4 stars.
Came in around 6pm, got a level pull through, left pretty early the next morning, enjoyed walking around the park. Highway traffic didn't bother us as we were just passing through. It was very convenient to get to. Did not use any of their facilities. John & Paula, Colorado <><

We stayed for 2 days. Easy access off of the interstate.. Very nice bathhouse and laundry....We will definitely be back.. We went to the Billy Graham Library. Nice pull thru spaces..
“Won’t Come Back” Horrible experience Owners are hard to deal with and workcampers are harsh people . Promised certain sites 3 months in advanced to find out when we got there that they also booked 1 if our sites to a family member and that we were wrong on what sites we had reserved . Making lite of a bad situation we went on to enjoy our trip to later be approached by employees saying we can’t play with water toys in the pool because owner likes to keep the water in the pool ... hello it’s a pool for God’s sake!! And then when splashed water in the pool and the employee got wet in the pool area we were threatened by owner of assault on his employee (lol really) and while cooking supper that night owner showed up at our campsite demanding we and our families on 3sites leave immediately taking only information from camp worker and not listening to reason... Screw him and his campground and his made up rules as you go....Never have we been asked to or talked to in this way Fair warning Don’t go to this one.. better of at Walmart Reviewed on 7/2/18 by userI agre
We love little quick get always from home and this place is a gem ! Our second time staying here and we just love this place. Level sites, clean, quiet and great pool!
