This is a gorgeous state park. Large field with walking paths (reclaimed land fill), huge sand beach, lots of water access. Sites were all spacious and consistent. Trees were cut high. We had no issues with our overnight stay and wished we were staying longer to enjoy the park. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Stayed here two days. Had to book for a week. Really? No refund for unused days, but got camping credit. Really? Facilities are filthy. Electric poles old and RV plug keeps falling out. But clean electric current. Gorgeous State park setting. Defunded by state legislator Astorino. So things are a bit rough and untended. Good security, however. Lots of cops all over park during day. I saw Zero at night. Decent Park security at night in RV park. Office folk get confused with booking. You must double check if you want a particular spot and booked two months ahead. It may get given away day you arrive. Happened to folks next to me. Great playground. Lots of lawn. Trees. Close to river beach. Doggies love it.
