Reviews for Dallas Northeast Campground

| Nothing special!

Price is outrageous, paid $218.94 for a week when it's $140.00 everywhere else in this area, loose dogs everywhere, nobody picks up after there dogs either, internet sucks ,had to use our own hotspots on our phones just to get on. Laundromat is clean and works well. This is also not a KOA park any longer ,they just kept the price. Nothing special here.

We are full time and use this park as our base. We stop in in spring and fall to see family. The staff and owners are very friendly. Even though there are some long time sites they are clean. We will continue to come to this park.

| Perfect Overnight Spot!

Dallas NE Campground Caddo Mills, TX 4 stars (Oct 4, 2016) Dallas NE Campground will be our overnight stop anytime we are passing thru this area of Texas. It was very convenient to the interstate, and the staff were very accommodating. We snagged the last site that was available for the night. I failed to mention that I had a military ID card when checking in. During our conversation, that fact emerged and the host graciously refunded me $2.20 because they offer military discounts. The price was very reasonable. From the looks of the property I believe it once was a KOA. The property was scenic with a 5 acre pond with catch and release fishing; plus I was able to get in a nice run around the pond (looped it several times for 4 miles). The campground had a nice pool and a basketball court, nice cabins, the best tent camping sites I've seen, a small camp store with basic supplies, a playground for kids, a swing hanging from a tree and a recreation hall. The RV sites were very long, spacious, and gravel. The campground did have quite a few permanent residents; however, the campground has rules enforce that keep the property well maintained. Great customer service is always a win. Dallas NE Campground certainly scored points for that quality! The staff were personable, genuinely cared for the customers and took pride in the property, even relaying ways they plan to improve it. Thanks, Dallas NE Campground for a pleasurable stay! Until next time...

Sites are narrow but easy enough to navigate. The park is clean, staff are friendly, laundry are is small but does the job. The highway noise is not a problem so the park is usually pretty quite.

We were very pleasantly surprised with this park. Friendly people at checkin, got a great, level site. Plenty of pull thrus, long enough for our rig. Pool looked inviting, dog was happy. Easy hookups, traffic not a problem and far enough away from the Interstate that it was quiet. We will come back.

We stayed here overnight on our way thru, staff was very friendly and helpful even though we arrived after the office was closed. Thank you! Will return when back in the area.

| From bad to worse

It wasn't any better when it was a KOA. This was a stopover and from check in to check out, it was not a good experience. When we checked in, the office was closed in the early afternoon - why, I have no idea but the staff as well as the campground workers were sitting and standing around watching us fill out the paperwork that was left outside for check in. No one spoke, no one waved and we left the closed office and picked a site. As stated in another review, there were feces and loose dogs everywhere. No one seemed to leash their dogs. I do not want my Scottie exposed to loose dogs that could potentially cause her harm as she is leashed and under our constant observation. In addition the fire ants were so bad, we could hardly walk in the grass. It was a relief to leave the next morning - EARLY! Steer clear would be my best advice!

From check in to checkout our experience was awesome! The owners and staff are all great people who take a lot of pride in the park. Laundry and rest rooms were all very clean. The pool is closed for the winter but looks very nice. It was too cold and rainy to enjoy the catch and release fishing pond but I can imagine it would be a great place to hang out on a summer afternoon. Really a great little park!

My checkin was great and the park was really nice. A former KOA under new management. Most of the spaces were pull through and very level. This is definately a site I would return to!
