Park Ranger and ladies at registration office very friendly and helpful. Family friendly with lots of kids on bikes on weekends. Biking and walking trails throughout area. Beautiful park in spite of cool weather and drizzle during our time there. We stayed in a 35' Class A.

David Crockett is a beautiful park with a lake and scenic trails and a creek along one of the 2 campgrounds. There are several walking/biking trails and a big playground for the kids as well. The park also has a restaurant and nice swimming pool too. This place a great for a peaceful getaway or as a home base for exploring the surrounding area. The nicer campground by the creek closes in the winter but the other one in the woods stays open. Recommended!
