| Plenty to do in and around the park

We camped in the electric/water only site due to the heavy season. There were plenty of birding classes to occupy our time. There are plenty of trails to walk. McDonald observatory is near by but the weather was a problem this time. Marfa is close by also for the festival. This park is a must for the kids. We camped there in a fifth wheel.

| Great Texas State Park

We have stayed here previously and enjoyed the scenic views and wildlife that wanders right through the park. Has a variety of facilities which are all well maintained. We visited the McDonald Observatory and Fort Davis both which are close by.

| Very good camping

As state parks go, this is one of the best we have stayed in. Full hookups and cable. The odd thing was that the TV cable was on the curb side of the trailer as opposed to the street side where all your other hookups are. The staff was very nice. There are plenty of trails. Don't forget to visit Fort Davis. We camped there in a travel trailer.
