| Clean, Safe and close to Carson

By user-6211439... on 2017-10-23.

Nice RV Park. Nice people. Concrete pull through pads, artificial turf. Bath bldg. VERY small. Campground was also small, compact. Near highway but no road noise. Lots to do nearby surrounding areas. Paid $38 a night. Will definitely camp there again.

| Convenient But ...

This was conveniently located in relation to Carson City, Reno, Virginia City, and Lake Tahoe. Sites were gravel and level. Dump station was closed because park could not afford to have it pumped (there is a free dump station at the Maverick station on the way to Carson City). Able to fill our fresh water tank in park at common spigot. Restrooms were not very convenient and needed some repair; they were not the cleanest, but did have an electric power outlet for a hair dryer. Trails in the park area were overgrown and barely maintained. Campground Host was very nice, had a great sense of humor, and was always present and checking who was coming in (I think there was an alarm when anyone drove in). Biggest con was due to low cost of the state park annual camping pass, seemed like many homeless were making the rounds from one park to another park after their stay limit was up to - felt a little creepy, but we did not haveto any issues when we left for the day.
