We stayed during biketoberfest 2015. Place is tight we were rudely told do not park your motorcycle on the concrete slab or the owner will make you pack up and leave. It's under the flight path of Daytona airport and close to the freeway very noisy. Also this campground has only 2 showers and they each only have 1 shower stall in each one. Friendly staff and we had a family emergency at home and had to leave a night early, we already paid and they gave us a refund even though it worked out we wouldn't be staying the minimum nights they required for a special event. Next time I would probably try the other KOA in town.
We stayed at the Daytona Speedway KOA during bike week 2015. I would not recommend this campground to anyone. Basically the staff treats you like you're an inconvenience to them not a guest. We arrived after the office had closed and did not have a reservation. When we arrived we asked the after hours staff if they had any availability for two nights. They said yes and escorted us to a site. The staff member helped us back into our site and instructed us to go to the office on the morning. Then the next morning we were told we had to move to a different much smaller site. The reason was that someone else had arrived in the morning and they had given that person the site we were it. The office staff didn't know how to run their computer program to change reservations in the computer so she wanted us to move. She kept saying it's bike week, we're full, it's bike week. Duh yes, I know it's bike week be happy your campground is full lady! We paid $107 for the one night, packed up and drove across the street to Crazy Horse. Sites there were quieter, darker, more spacious, less expensive and most importantly the staff was much much friendlier. We will never be back to this KOA.
Rates weren't great but safe and secure. No pool which is disappointing.
The hosts were friendly and helpful. The site was good sized with a separate parking space for our car. Just wish it had a pool/hottub and a larger bathhouse. The bathhouse was super clean though.
This is a decent KOA... but in a very busy area. I thought since it was not racing season, that this would be a quiet stay. Just beware that the park is on a very busy corner. There is an extremely large flea market across the street and the the roads are jammed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It was difficult to get out of the park at times. The park itself was fine... decent site space and friendly staff. The WiFi is not good, but laundry and bathrooms were good.
