The campground isn't bad. It isn't particularly good either. Sites aren't well vegetated which lead to tracking lots of sand and dirt into our rv. The race track next door is really loud on Saturday nights so don't plan on peace and quiet that night. Also trains and highway noise is above what we expected. The staff seems helpful and friendly albeit they aren't a clean cut group. The kids enjoyed the games and swim up movies and the inclusion of water park and activities in town made it a reasonable value.
Al King and his staff have a wonderful RV park. Very large and wooded mature sites throughout the campground. No need to roll out the canopy! Lots for kids to do on site and easy access to the Dells and all its attractions. Best part is that you are not in the Dells itself and at a real campground.
This place is run down and any Change to your reservation is a 10 dollar fee. Added an extra day to the stay by phone before we got there they said sure no problem. Then we got there a little early again sure no problem. Then they said that is an extra 20 for processing two changes. The shower doors were unfinished and moldy. And the worst was the ants I haven't seen that many ants at a campsite ever. Yes they have tickets for everything but it comes at a price and that is your comfort on your stay. They are also one of the furthest from town so it is a bit of a drive to anything. Cell service also sucked wouldn't ever stay here again. If I could give less than one star I would.
