| Very quiet. Out of the way.

Very quiet. Not much in the way of shade. Good alternative to Ga Vet's State Park. From Hwy 280 & Entrance to Ga Vet's take Cannon Rd (opposite State Park entrance) for 6 miles. Turn Left onto Camper's Haven Rd for 1/2 mile. Campground on Right. Self check-in. There is a tiny store at the little campground 1/2 mile farther down the road. There are 2 convenience stores w/gas and an Icehouse at the intersection of 280 & Cannon Rd. Striplings has a butcher shop in their store (their sausage is fantastic). Full hookup (30A/50A) sites are under the pine trees past the bathhouse. The sites out in the open are w/e. The first time we camped at Dixie RV Park was in May 2007. It's 12 miles to Cordele (and the laundromat). I would stay here again. We stayed in a Motorhome. This is a vintage RV/skoolie friendly park.
