| Camp in the Woods
Nice rv park for small rv's. The end loupes are only big enough to turn a car around. Would only recommend sites 001 thru 012 for large units but of course these fill up with tenters. Sites do not have water or sewer connections since the CCC did not put them in. Would not consider this rv park again.
| This is for camping, not luxury RVing
If you are looking for a full hookup campground with all the latest facilities, this isn't it. But if you like to "camp" then this is a nice quiet park with reasonably easy access to the city. Not all sites have electric so be careful if booking online. None have sewer or water. You can fill your fresh tank at the dump station or any number of spigots scattered around. Great hiking trails, open areas and most sites have shade. This park was great in the fall but not sure I'd want to stay in the heat of summer as the pool is closed and there is no substantial water feature to cool off in. If that is something you need/want, check out Cuivere River SP a little further north on Hwy 61. Sites are mostly level and decent sized. Prices are reasonable.
| Beautiful Park
Very nice campground, restrooms were clean. No water at campsites, dump station easily accessible. Camp hosts were very nice. The visitors center was enjoyable. The lady working the desk was very helpful. We were a bit disappointed in the upkeep of the state park itself. It seems to be falling into disrepair from lack of funds, maybe? But overall we enjoyed the hiking trails that are well marked, and the campground was quiet with roomy RV sites with fire rings and picnic tables. We will use this park for camping again.
