One of the best campgrounds we have stayed great family camping cant wait to go back
| Disappointed
The campground hosts weddings and we happened to hit a night when there was one with outdoor band playing until late into the night. ...not the quiet, peaceful stay near a Maine lake we were hoping for! Wifi is a joke! Needed to work on some things but connection was so erratic we gave up. Didn't chose to stay another night. So disappointed!
| Ok but disappointing
We arrived for a fall weekend getaway. Being local, and never being here before we figured it was time. I was able to book online and got a waterfront site. But the surprise was on us when we to the site. Site 66 is down a tight driveway that has to be backed into. Not easy considering the entry area had a bench in the driveway and is off a turn. As you back in trees need to be threaded to get to the site. We have a 25' trailer and it just fits. The site is so unlevel I had to raise the 1 side almost 9 inches. And that gave us a real hard time with the steps. Water and power(15amp only) are both on the wrong side so they are under the awning and run under the trailer. Most sites we saw were set up this way. And most are not close to level. The good side is we are right on the lakefront. Western view and great sunsets. Staff real good to us but watch out for renters in cabins. They don't always control their dogs.
