Reviews for Eagle's Nest Campground

| Friendly staff

We were concerned with the low rating, but after arriving we are very pleased! The staff is extremely friendly (Dave and Hope were fabulous) and helpful! The park is very clean and well kept. Additionally, they give military and police discount all year....that's nice! We would return and recommend.

Nothing horrible; nothing great. Sites are small. Lots of permanent folks in the back and it just seems a little run down back in that area. Staff was very nice. We got an off-season discount that was very good:$24. Wifi worked well.

Most sites are slightly unlevel. Verizon data is poor. DW always plans to do laundry here.

| Good value (w/Passport America rate)

Considering how popular the Smoky Mountains NP/Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area is, this campground is a good value with the Passport America rate & is close to everything. I agree with most of the other reviews about the condition of the park, but will add that quite a few sites require significant leveling, but not drastic, and the water pressure is very low. It takes 1.3 minutes to fill a gallon jug. The pressure is usable, just a little annoying. Also, if your rv has 50 amp service, the park will not allow you to drop down to 30 amp with a dog bone adapter, thus limiting the number of sites available to you, since many sites in the park are 30 amp only.

Campground staff are great. Sites are easy to get in and out (my rig is only 28 feet). Bathrooms could use updating but everything works. Laundry room looks newer. We will have spent a total of 20 waking hours here in 4 days due to touristy stuff. This place has been great for us and with the Passprot America deal it can't be beat. WiFi has been good for us also.
