This place is not well maintained and seemed to have homeless people camped in tents. Larger rigs need to be in the treeless open area as the sites with trees are not level. Prior campers garbage was not cleaned from the site. We had to move to find a suitable site and it was not good. Couldn't wait to get out of there.
Nice basic campground with the luxury of being on Lake Wylie. Great boat launch and parking. Can have picnics on the lake.
Camped here early in the season ( early April ). Ranger station was very nice, staff were efficient and informative, grounds were clean, neat and well maintained. Sites were large with plenty of room for camper, vehicle and possibly a boat. Overall a great experience!
Very very clean and beautiful park. Did not see any of that homeless issue someone else posted about. Family atmosphere, great swimming area, volleyball, basketball, golf cart friendly. Pet friendly. Kids can ride bikes. Has wifi.
The campground is well designed. All RV campsites have water, sewer and 50 Amp electric. This campground is easy to navigate with big rigs because all trees and other obstructions have been cleared in driving areas. Some lots are wooded and others are not. Some campsites are level and others are not. Call the campground phone number to speak directly with the ranger for campsite level & wooded density details and recommendations,,,,
I've been to this park many times. It is a well maintained park. Very clean. I have a 30 ft RV but, there are larger sites with trees. It's worth making your on opinion. Have a great time...
