Very friendly helpful owner who takes pride in his park. The pond is a cute touch. Would definitely stop there again if I'm ever in the area.
Not sure if he was having a bad day or what, but we arrived at closing time (which we didn't realize) and he was extremely rude. My husband parked for a few minutes on the road outside the park to check something in the RV. The owner came out in his golf cart and rudely said, "Are you staying or not? I'm closing up - you can come in or leave. Actually, why don't you leave and stay elsewhere." So we did.
John is the owner of this small RV park, and he really cares for your comfort. Well located to see the area sights, and he is knowledgeable about them too, as he worked at the missile range previously. Upon check in he gives you brochures on every tour you might be interested in. He has a book swap library, an exercise room, laundry on the honor system with nice new machines, a fishing pond. Drawbacks are few, but I wished for pavement or grass to walk our dog on because there are prickly seeds afoot everywhere. No dog walk was complete without removing little splinters from paws.
