Large camp sites and very good food at park store/restaurant. We found a very friendly atmosphere not only with campers but also all employees. We will go back again.
The park is relatively small which is a good thing. Sites are spread out so you don't feel cramped. Folks are genuine and friendly. Every Friday night is steak night and karaoke which offered up a tasty ribeye and some surprising talent. The park is indeed on a point next to a national wildlife refuge. Unfortunately, because of the NWR and its heavy brush and steep banks, there is no access to the water except for one small spot. In fact, you can't even see the water. There was, however, lots of water access a short distance away. Regardless of the lack of water access, we enjoyed our time here.
