The park was nice, the staff friendly. The people in the park weren't very friendly. The sites are nice, the Wifi doesn't work and Verizon data was as slow as dial-up. If you get up about 5am you can get a faster speed our phones showed 4G 5 bars but the download speed was 0.07mpbs upload was 0.02mpbs. You can send and receive calls but don't count on data. The park had a lot of dogs some running loose. It's a family park so if you don't like kids this isn't the park for you. The views are amazing and Estes Park is within a mile. Close to town, restaurants, and shopping.

| Great base camp for exploring the park.

| RV park to RMNP

By user-5787543... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2017-09-06 to 2017-09-09

This park is very close to RMNP entrance which is nice but the sites are not level and difficult to back in. We have 43' 5th wheel and our site was no where near level. I watched a shorter 5th wheel have issues backing in because the roads are narrow and your truck has to go uphill in front on you to back into your site. It's also dusty in the park. Has great views of the mountains and easy access to RMNP but next time I would request a better site that is level but the entire campground is built on the mountain so not sure many sites are level. Wi-do had issues and kept dropping.

| Great location near RMNP

Ignore the negative reviews. The location of this park is great - very close to the park entrance. Dirt sites near your neighbor? Check. Sold out every Summer weekend? Check. A bonus local restaurant within walking distance to campground.

| Nice Park - Great Location

By user-5564545... on 2017-10-23. Stayed 2016-07-01 to 2016-07-05

Park was nicer than expected. Sites were reasonable in size, and large enough to deploy slides and awning, but little more. Our site was level, but it didn't appear that all were. All sites were tiered into the hill side so everyone had a nice view. Somewhat pricey, but that is to be expected due to the proximity to the RMNP. Large pool, with two hot-tubes, and wi-fi throughout the park that was OK at best. Multiple shower houses, and washer/dryer that we did not use. There were quite a few rules, and you have to provide a lot of information when you arrive (license plate numbers for all vehicles, license number, sign multiple forms, etc.) All and all didn't seem like any more more than any other private campground. The only real negative were the roads and dust from them. Thankfully it rained daily so that helped, but with the sun they quickly dried. The roads were rutted out and could use grading and new gravel. I would stay here again.

Nice RV park located just outside the gate to enter the Rocky Mountains. Beautiful views throughout the park. Roads and sites are all gravel so things could be dusty if its been dry outside. However, we didn't experience the dust like others have mentioned in reviews. Sites are not level between sites so you cannot move your picnic tables. Sewer hook ups were pretty far back into your site so you may need an extension sewer hose. Pool looked good and it had two hot tubs but unfortunately hot tubs were out of order most of our visit. We played mini golf which was in descent shape. Staff was nice and accommodating.

| The Worst Most Beautiful RV Park

The surrounding are just stunning. The staff is super nice. The sites are completely unleveled. Playground is old and decrepit. The pool is nice, but only a few Adirondack chairs surround it; no lounge chairs, no shade. And the smell of the of port-a-potties right next to the pool is a little overwhelming. They do have put put and a dog run.

Park is close to town and nestled right in the mountains. I was given a FHU dirt pull-thru for my 42' 5th wheel. Sites are dirt and you might need extra blocking to level up. The park is easy to maneuver in and my site had plenty of room for my 5th wheel and truck. The pool and bus that runs to town was shut down for the season on the day we arrived. The park wi-fi was great from my site and I did use my dish for tv reception. A small store and a restaurant is at or near the park office. The park sees a lot of campers as it is close to RMNP. I would stay here again.

| Good location and views but very tight spces

By user-5872636... on 2017-10-23.

The views alone are worth the stay. We drove a Class C motorhome with two kids and a small dog. We really like the proximity to town and road the free shuttle several times including the night of July 4th. This made getting around very easy. We did wish there was still live music and a bar at the lodge as indicated on your website. Also, the hot tubs were cold and very dirty. The bathrooms were pretty nice and clean. The play set was too small for the size of the park and the mini golf course was in pretty bad shape. The sites were REALLY close together and didn't have any space for the picinic table. For exploring Estes Park, this is a good location. I would have like more to do on-site and would have liked more space. Side note, some of the pix on their brochure and website are not of this location. Still an ok place but not much else to it besides making it a base camp for exploring the area.

This park is in a great location just outside Rocky Mountain national park. We used the laundry and it was excellent. The roads are poor in the campground and it is dusty. Sites are not level. It is pricey, but this is a high tourist area with a short season. A herd of 60 elk did stroll right through the campground one night. WIFI was OK early morning or very late, but the rest of the time was terrible.

| Friendly Staff & Great Views...

By user-5868470... on 2017-10-23.

Upon our arrival on a late Friday afternoon with a 40' fifth wheel RV, we were greeted by a friendly staff member who quickly checked us in to our reserved campsite. He then escorted us to our site and helped guide me back into the site. This was a big help since the campground was near capacity and maneuvering was a little tight due to vehicles parked close to the road in adjacent sites. The site was sloped slightly so we did have some leveling to do. The full hookups were modern and positioned nicely so set up was very smooth. The entrance is well marked with a large sign and upon entering the property you will notice the pond with a fountain and the main old west style office/lodge buildings in a beautiful setting with well manicured grass and trees. The view of Longs Peak and the surrounding mountains from our site was amazing. The restroom/shower houses appeared to be newly remodeled and were extremely nice and very clean. We did not use the pool or hot tub but they appeared to be popular with the guests and very well kept. Our fellow RV’ers appeared to range from families with young children to empty nesters and retirees. The campground was alive with kids riding bikes and people walking dogs but always quiet and orderly. Also, we were aware that there were no charcoal grills or wood fires allowed in the camp sites so we brought along our propane Coleman grill and fire pit. I would highly recommend the Elk Meadow Lodge & RV Resort to fellow RV'ers.

Located just outside the national park. This is a large park with many sites and was full while we were there. Was a little disappointed in a few things ex. The dirt roads around the campsites were poorly maintained making it difficult for campers to get into their spots or move around the park, dust was a constant issue, park has a lot of rules but they were clearly being ignored, The heated pool heater was broken while we were there so the pool was cold, the lodge house is only open on Friday and Saturday so no book exchange or game room available any other time. The band they have on Saturday (Osburns) is really not good, the mini-golf course was flooded when we got there but dried out other than the first hole, the bath house that is centrally located to the campers was out of order so we had to walk to the opposite ends of the park. The "free wi-fi" was horrible. I'm not usually a complainer but for the cost ($65 per night+10.55% camping tax) I was disappointed. The place looked better on their website than it did in person. the camp staff were very friendly and fun to be around. The open bathrooms were clean. The park is perfectly located for exploring the Rocky Mnts. Also the laundry room had lots of machines and was clean. But again, it was oversold (website) and overpriced. If this park were to be located somewhere else, it'd be a dump.

| Great location and beautiful views

By user-5156184... on 2019-08-09.

Loved being close to Rocky Mountain National Park. You cannot beat the views of the mountains or the wildlife. Lots of elk around the campground. Spots were fairly spacious. Great service by staff. Reasons for the 4 star rating (rather than 5 stars) are: (1) very uneven pad sites that are difficult to set up on and (2) pool and hot tub facilities were in terrible condition.

| Overpriced Overnight

By user-5477332... on 2019-08-09.

Yes this has excellent views but it's dirt, dust, and grunge for $70 (with Good Sam). Near main visitor center. Clean bathroom and laundry. Nice playground but it's dirt road and completely unlevel so it's really a toss up. Not sure I'll be back unless I have no other choice.

| Good base for RMNP

Very clean and well run. Not exactly the"sit around the campfire and roast marshmallow" type place, but excellent as an RV home base to explore RMNP and Estes Park. Stayed here for a quick visit to RMNP on our way to Grand Teton
