| Great park

By user-5054537... on 2017-10-23.

This is an rv park for Elks members only. Sites are wide enough for big rigs with slides. Grass and trees between sites. Most sites are pull thrus. We will return to this park when passing thru.

PLEASE BE ADVISED YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OF THIS ELKS LODGE TO STAY HERE. We arrived early (11 AM), found the park empty so parked, hooked up and read that we could pay at the lounge when it opened at 4PM. Then we headed down to Chiracahua National Monument for about 3 hours. At 4 PM we went over to the lounge to pay the $15 fee for W/E hookup. The bartender was cordial as were the couple seated there, so we stayed for a cold beer. The bartender asked which lodge we were affiliated with and we then realized you had to be member! Very embarrassing! I had not noticed on the website, or on the signs in the park, that was a requirement to stay here. Since we were the ONLY rig in the RV park, the bartender was VERY gracious and said not to worry, we could stay the night. It is a very clean park adjacent to a large lounge/restaurant/banquet hall complex. I do not know if they would consider offering space available options to non-members but hope it would be a consideration during slow times. It is a very nice place and we were treated well considering our ignorance. June 23, 2015
