Folks from this area all know about this park, they come here for the piece & quiet right on the Elkton River. Nice hook ups, well placed and mostly level gravel sites. Great restaurants just up the hill. Sites 32-35 satellite friendly pull throughs.
We have been at 6 different parks over that last 6 days and this one wins! Very quaint located directly on the river and just off the highway on the way to the coast. There are 5 wine tasting bars right in the area and a fully vineyard 1 mile away. The river has lava rocks that you can walk on and enjoy the river. You can also walk to a couple of local restaurants.
We stayed for 2 nights during the last week of June, and it was just right, with shade trees and a big shared fire pit area with pleanty of wood provided. The sight, sounds and smells of the Umpqua river that was 150 ft from our spot was easy to access and beautiful. The hosts were very friendly and helpful as this was our first real outing in our new trailer. Update: we've now stayed at several other RV parks and this one stands out as a favorite. We'll be back for some more river fun again soon.
