Had a reservation with confirmation number. Arrived on check in date and no one around to do check in. Doors locked/lights off. Called the number only to get an answering machine telling me to leave a message. That was 6.5 hours ago...still haven't had my call returned. I had pulled to the side to ensure I wasn't blocking the road into the "park" only to have a tenant (yes I said tenant...will get to that in a sec) dog cuss me out b/c she had to veer slightly to the left (in a small SUV) to enter the trailer park. Yes I said trailer park. This is NOT a campground. It is a trailer park made up of almost all permanent tenants. There were a couple back in spots for over nighters to park and hook up but I only saw one RV/camper that looked like a recent addition. All others were homesteaded in with several looking like they had been there for decades. The bldg that used to be a bath house is in a state of disrepair and padlocked up. I understand this is an RV and yes we have onboard facilities, but there are also 8 of us, so a bath house (which is the norm in a campground) would've been nice. Reviews are great (how I don't know) unless they are a better landlord than campground operator. Advertise for what you are... a TRAILER PARK with a couple transient RV hook ups. AND that there isn't a bath house. We left and drove 20 mins south and got a space at the fort mill KOA, which is 5 stars I might add. We're driving a 32' Class C RV

This campground is old school, but don't let the cover of the book throw you off. The area is a little rough. But past the gates... It's nice and the owners are super helpful and friendly , plus Time Warner is there for long term campers who need a fast interwebs connection. It's quiet with good neighbors.

Haven't actually stayed here, but looking for a place to spend one night, I found a bit of a discrepancy between this site and their web site. The link to their web site has a 3 night minimum for 30+ a night. A little bit off 20-25.

| Lousy park

Made reservation for 50 amp but got 30 amp. Water pressure is weaker than an onboard water pump delivers. Very loud traffic and train noise. Located behind car dealer lot. Only short back-in slots. Hardly any place to park dinghy. Apparently poor choices in Charlotte. Look in surrounding areas instead of staying here.
